Off-Road EarthCruiser Overland Camping Vehicle

It all starts with a chassis that looks something like this.

Once parked, the pop-top electronically lifts to give you lots more space inside.

Plus those large windows, too.

Not only can this camper get you almost anywhere, but it can keep you there comfortably, too.

Plenty of space and lots of function.

If it’s a family affair, once can go with the crew cab version. This one even has an extra pop-top tent over the cab.

It all starts like this…

And the finished product looks something like this…

I can definitely see the beauty in owning an expedition vehicle like this.

The question is, where would you head to first?

I’m one of the lucky ones that could do this in 35% of the weight and 20% of the cost, solar/wind powered EV and amphibious .
Live axles just don’t have the clearance without being too tall and just weigh too much. Instead use WRX offroad racing air suspensions, Tesla drives on a composite hull/chassis/body.
Such could go places this one could only dream about with no need of FFs.

Not understanding as much about the mechanics of cars as you, Jerry, I did notice a marked difference between the “before” pictures with no camper and the “after” pictures with the camper attached. The distance of the wheel covers goes way down which indicates to me, though I could be wrong, that a lot of weight has been added to the vehicle, so my question would be “How large is the gas/deisel tank”, or is there some converter that helps with combustion and use of fuel?

It’ll suck fuel at a fast rate, 4-6mpg plus 2gal/day for power which limits it to how far, long it can go.
And that heavy use of FFs I don’t care for and no longer needed or wanted. Between the way overweight costly truck and the fairly good but costly camper, so many better ways to do it.
Vs my EV version can have enough power made by solar, wind, maybe biomass to be clean, low cost to go as long as the food holds out and do over 50miles per day plus heating, cooling, etc.. If hunting too, that can be a very long time.

Will we be able to see your EV conversion one day?

Hi Marsha, Only if someone orders one as personally I don’t need one.
I do have an S-10 to EV conversion and aero camper to increase range at freeway speeds, cut weight replacing the steel bed I’ll likely show soon once the camper is done.
It’s done to be my home on the road when traveling and hurricane shelter along as a cargo hauler, towing my trailers, boats, etc .

Very interesting. . .looks a little military, but on the inside it is pretty and nice.

Very cool, and looks like fun, but out of my budget! Maybe someone can gift one to me…..
