I am pleased to see this company took advantage of an old old idea used in the older two story mobile homes from the 50’s. with the upper loft bedroom taking advantage of the bed platform to allow standing room in the bathroom underneath. This allows a nice staircase and standing room height to dress next to the bed.
Nice arrangement.. I have to guess the size of this tiny house to be 24′ x 8′. Lots of nice windows, I like the theater ceiling touch, spacious bath, nice kitchen, and the privacy wall on the other loft. Lots to like here.

Very very nice, love the entrance mixed with the stairs to the loft lower level, where I believe you can stand up near the bed.. Nice design.

The layout of the house is really good. Though the materials do not go well together. Having a “noisy” countertop with wall tiles, that have a total different pattern and color, does not make it easy on the eyes. And the use of so much dark color for such a little space is not good. It makes the room look smaller than it is – Looks like the ceiling falling down. The big ceiling pattern does not help either. It is way too dominating. The dark kitchen cabinets are too kitch and 70’s.

It can be quite interesting how people can have very different tastes and preferences…

But it’s not actually true that dark colors will automatically make a space seem smaller all the time.

The way that light interacts with say white can be very static. There are no subtleties in its hue because it reflects all the colors at once and that can make it seem very bland.

This is where the dynamic color of a dark shade can get interesting, as the light in a room changes throughout the day, so does a dark color. Even black can have cool or warm undertones, and this is especially true when dealing with a material that can have lots of subtle details like wood.

While darker colors reflect less light, this can give the space a better sense of depth. Essentially, it can help blur the edges of the room. Versus how brighter colors can make the edges of the room more pronounced and defined.

So you can actually add a sense of space with either light or darker colors… It really depends on application and how the materials interact with the colors and lighting.

Photos just aren’t always the best way to get a sense of how the space actually looks. Since, how the eye sees it can be very different from the camera…

The back splash and ceiling fixture, for example, is gold foil stamped… This means they’re reflective and are actually making the space feel bigger and helping to spread a warm lighting effect.

The ceiling fixture also has back lighting for some ambience lighting effect… and like a theater, some of the lower steps to the stairs also has lighting…

Among other details you may not be perceiving from the photos as well as you would be in person…

James – you are so right about how people can have very different tastes and preferences. While I can understand why someone may not like the color scheme in this tiny, I personally find it extremely warm and inviting. Good jobTiny Heirloom!

I agree that the countertop looks out of place. The fancy metallic tiles are also not my cup of tea, but it’s a very interesting idea, and someone will love it. I do like the red velvet couch, and the red door. Lots to like about this house.

Wow! Really nicely done and soooo beautiful! I love the arrangement of the bath to the stairs, and the lofts are wonderful with the extra ceiling space with the wood accent. The windows are great for views, and I will be by after dark to steel the entire kitchen. Lol! What a beautiful bath. Love the tile around the sink and tub. The rounded table is ingenious. It allows each person to see the people next to them easier for conversation and gets around those pesky corners in a tight space. The whole house is a work of art. Thanks for sharing it with us. Lots of ideas to ponder 🙂

I love almost everything about this home. The only thing I would change for myself would be to eliminate the bathtub and use a walk-in shower instead. I love the stair case, twin beds!!, mattresses are not on the floor, standing room in the bedroom, dual flush toilet, raised refrigerator and so much more. My only question now is – how much?

They often don’t specify the exact final price, as owners don’t always want that advertised, but on the episode this aired they listed the working budget at the start at being $120,000… Doesn’t mean that is what it ended up costing but that’s the budget they had to work with at the beginning…

It is lovely, but I do agree with those who don’t like the metal ceiling/walls. The wooden ceiling is beautiful, why ruin it? And the countertop is attractive all on its own. The bath is very, very nice. though lacking a washer/dryer. Yes, there are many things to like, however, 200 sq. ft. for $95,000 seems a bit pricey. The larger 400 sq. ft. houses often go for less than that. Perhaps they are negotiable.

stunning 😍, I think it is absolutely beautiful. I love how they matched the backslash with the ceiling and you can never go wrong with granite counter tops. The windows are amazing and the bathroom is exquisite. It’s obvious that a lot of thought and talent went into this one.
