This is the story of a little yurt home called Do It Yurtself.

It’s built by Zach Both, the same artist who brought us this super-cool cargo van conversion (AKA the VANUAL) that we posted about in 2016.

I am not a lover of yurts, but this one has a really interesting and practical floor plan. I actually like this yurt. It’s pretty and lovely, and the loft is amazing! I am impressed. I could live in this. Great job!

      Love love love this.
Showed my wife after trying to convince her to do something like this. She’s ok to go tiny living but isn’t convinced on the yurt side of it as we live in Eastern Ontario Canada.

Guess I have to be a little more persuasive

      Nice work Alex

Strange, it looks bigger on the inside than the outside. Though I like it.

A yurt remains an affordable way to live tiny and DIY in comparison to a THOW which aren’t affordable for everybody anymore. Main reason is the increase of material cost which can be lowered by using reclaimed stuff only.
This particular one shows to get an airy and not crampy loft with standing headroom on a smaller footprint.
I like it a lot and the round shape is great for strong winds too.
