This is the story of Denise and her school bus conversion tiny home that she built after getting diagnosed with Leukemia a few years ago. She didn’t want traditional treatments, and going the non-traditional route meant insurance wasn’t going to cover her treatment here in the United States.
So she sold her house, her car, and just about everything she owned to build this school bus and be able to afford her treatments. With it, she plans to travel the country for as long as she can.

She didn’t feel that traditional cancer treatments were right for her, but going the non-traditional route means that insurance doesn’t cover your treatment here in the U.S. So, she sold her home, her car, everything she owned and built out this school bus in order for her to be able to afford her treatments.

hey great video . love your bus , I am going to keep it for referances on you solar , mini split and your instant water heater . I have been building my own THOW , now wish i had gone the way of bus but oh well have my shell all built and I am working ( when body allows it ) on house been 3 yrs now , I have fibromyalgia and definitely know what you mean by days that you don’t feel like getting out of your own way . good luck with all you do and glad to see you not letting the cancer bet you have ex that is fighting prostate cancer and is not doing well , also have sister that is doing GREAT after losing breast to cancer two years ago .More power to you sincerely deb in vt . ps if your ever this way you have a place to park have very large yard and you can park and visit area if you like . leaving you info email: [email protected]

You may want to read Chris Wark’s book Chris Beat Cancer. He is 16 years out from a stage three d colon cancer diagnosis, and is cancer free by eating a lot of whole, raw, fruits and veggies. You can look him up on line if you are interested.
This story warmed my heart. So many of us are not alone. Your bus is beautiful and very well thought out. I will think of you Denise. You touched me and you are a fighter. I have been fighting odds but not with cancer. I admire the fact that you are free to go where you want to go. Hope we hear more about you and your traveling.
