Decoliner Motorhome w/ Balcony Cockpit Inspired by Houseboats, Planes

This post contains affiliate links.

Here’s a one of a kind motorhome owned by Jay Leno.

This motorhome was inspired by a houseboat…

And by airplanes. It was completely custom made by Randy Grubb of Blastolene.com.

I’m sure it was very expensive. What’s really unique about it is you can drive it from upstairs giving you amazing views from above.

And it’s designed so that your head is just under the 13’6″ US road law.

A reader sent this to me as it was featured on Jay Leno’s Garage.

You can watch the complete tour inside and out (and see what it’s like to drive it) below:

True, this will probably never be lived in or even used very much but when I saw it I couldn’t help using my imagination to actually turn it into a livable motorhome/van.

It would look fantastic towing an antique Airstream!

Dave, I sort of agree, but what’s so bad about the idea of living in what could be functional art.? Way more spacious than my 88 ford campervan. Way more potential.

I have always thought the White 3000 series cabover is one of the best looking cabs of all time. This version is over the top (pun intended) and super cool. I would not be comfortable driving from above, just too wierd for me, but I did see a video taken as the owner drove up top and almost touched stoplights !

“And it’s designed so that your head is just under the 13’6″ US road law”

Wouldn’t that be totally dependant on the height of the driver…??? LOL

Yup, totally impractical and hilariously enjoyable…
