Solar-Powered Bus Conversion with Room for Books (And a Sewing Machine!)

This post contains affiliate links.

Danny loves to read books, bake, sew and practice yoga and this is his incredible solar-powered bus conversion which he designed with space for all of his hobbies!

There’s open shelving everywhere for him to tuck his book collection; an oven and oodles of counter space for bread-baking; a table with space for his sewing machine and craft supplies; and last but definitely not least: A rooftop yoga porch!

After living in New York City for 33 years, Danny (@buswithnoname on Instagram) desired a slower pace of life and more time outdoors, so he made the leap and truly created a HOME on wheels.

Super Storage in this Solar-Powered Bus Conversion And It Has A Rooftop Platform For Yoga!

Just look at all the space for books and craft supplies! Danny made his bus fit his priorities.

Danny said this is the best kitchen he’s ever had in terms of usability and counter space.

He has a permanent bed in the back of the bus, but his couch also folds out into a full-sized sleeping area.

Here’s his mini wood-burning stove that kept him warm during a frigid Maine winter.

Danny was a yoga instructor for years, so he custom-built this amazing rooftop yoga porch.

While definitely snug, this bathroom has all the amenities necessary (and is beautiful!).

Danny, a book lover who has been living in his bus for over 6 months designed his space beautifully. He was very thoughtful with what he knew he needed and wanted while living in a spall space. The amount of storage is incredibly impressive. He also has a kitchen with so much counter space, an oven to bake bread, a deep sink, plenty of shelving and a dining room table.

Seriously well designed! Loved the sliding passthrough that closes to allow warm air to heat the bathroom.
Love the way Danny thinks ahead & is still making plans to create a possible age in place with his son on a future piece of land.

He thought this out and built it very nicely. Storage is amazing and the drawers. I even like the bathroom. Wood stove looks inviting and the kitchen is perfect. Beautiful creation.
