Couple’s Tiny House Tour and Hangout

This post contains affiliate links.

I just ran into Kit and Michael’s tiny house tour and hangout and I’m excited to share it with you here.

The video tour is 27 minutes long so you might have to save this post for later if it’s not a good time but in the video the couple answer pretty much any possible question you might have about living tiny while they give you a complete guided tour of their tiny home.

Their tiny house is pretty awesome! They have a projector screen, sleeping loft, convertible multi-functional furniture, and so much more. I had fun virtually ‘hanging out’ with them and their friends while getting to learn about how they live. I think you’ll enjoy it and get to learn from it too so please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you!

    BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!!

Finally!!! A “Tiny House” video that actually talks about THE TINY HOUSE…not your feet, or the music scene in town, or door knobs, but actual fact-rich information about LIVING in a tiny house. Phew!!!! For a moment, I thought that we were no longer going to gain any more insight into this world.

The woman had me at “…it makes the world’s best grilled cheese!” Yeah, I can get behind ANY wood stove that makes perfect grilled cheese!:D This was a fascinating video about two people that truly and genuinely live IN their tiny house. You can see how they store their clothes, the absolute genius behind their “movable feast” dining room table + bench; the water system, kitchen, loft, etc. Throw in 2 pussy cats and a couple of friends and you show that tiny houses, well planned, truly DO work!

Very nice couple; I enjoyed their video immensely, despite the length. 😀

Like this tiny but the camera movement made me sea sick. good storage spots and love the kitty steps. good to know about the wall heating unit for sure. SLOW DOWN the camera sweeps, please. Nice young couple.

Ditto. I was looking for the Dramamine with the swooping camera work but a great video that actually talks about actual life in a tiny house. From this we can see easily see that it’s totally possible to live and be happy in a tiny house. Yes!!! 😀

I know, the camera work wasn’t anywhere near professional but I liked it because it just felt like we were hanging out with them which alot of times we don’t get in videos 😀

Obviously they didn’t review before they uploaded this. Camera is shakey. The place is a mess and looks unfinished.

Really? I thought it looked organized and lived in and comfortable! Better than my tiny bus looks right now! Lol!

This looks like a well organized AND lived in home. So much information in this video. That couple knows more about the workings of their house than most people.

I actually enjoyed the fact that you could tell that it’s lived in. So often TH videos and pictures look unloved in to the point of appearing sanitized.

So as I take it they bought a finished Tiny House and modified it a bit to suit their needs? Nice views on a Tiny House and their adaptation.

Good video, right to the point. I love the shower idea. Actually forwarded this to a friend so he could see that shower set up. It is really practical and cool! I might use it myself! Thans for sharing all this info!

You can buy a fancy schmancy shower, a bit more expensive but it’s metal so you can put it right on a wood stove or other heater. It also has a thermometer on the side to check the water temperature. http://zodi.com/hot-showers/extreme-shower I’m getting one of these this year.

You can see a video here and the guy replaced the little shower head with a kitchen sprayer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzI-sXNrIFA He got the one with the included stove.

As long ago as 1980 I used a metal sprayer, heated on a wood stove, as my shower. The only problem was that the wand was too long, but I could have modified it. Worked well.

I agree, it’s great to see real people in their real tiny house instead of the barbi & kens of ‘tiny house nation’.

Lots of good experience to learn from. The bucket and chuck it water system is nice and simple, especially in winter. It was a staple of cabin life up north. An HRV unit sounds like a really good idea, especially in colder climates.

Thanks for featuring a house that’s actually used versus staged for tours. A lot of the clutter you see is due to winter outerwear for 4 people being out in the open instead of put in a (non-existent, in this case) closet.

Do all four of you live there?

Hey Lori good question. Nope! It’s just the one couple who are answering the questions living there (the others are friends/guests)

Thanks for this video. I loved it, and that it is lived in. The only question I have is You said when you use the bathroom, that the smells of the bathroom goes outside. Ok, how do you prevent your neighbors from smelling your wastes. I realize that it is perfect for you, but not your neighbors. Are they having to put up with the smells, and if not, what do you do to keep it from happening?
This is a cool tiny house, but can you not have a loft, and it still be practical? I find out since I am getting older(I am 67) that I can’t climb like I used to.

Nifty real life look at tiny house living. Kept wondering where the kitty litter is kept and how they dealt with that (I assume they have kitty litter since they said they left the cats there for long periods). They said they only had to empty the composting toilet 2x yr–does that include using it for kitty litter?
