This is one couple’s Rock Climbing Tiny House on Wheels! It was built by Tiny Heirloom. Actually, according to Inhabitat, this tiny house is called the Tiny Adventure Home.2

The Mississippi couple, Breck and Kelsey, hired Tiny Heirloom to build it for them so they can go on adventures with it!1 From the inside-out, it’s absolutely beautiful. I think you’ll really like it. Enjoy and re-share below!

Look at the tile work in the tiny doorway to the bathroom (beautiful)

This tiny has two lofts… A bedroom and a living room loft!

Seems pretty spacious for a tiny house loft (and I love the window!)

This is the living room loft on the opposite side (above the dining room)

I LOVE this layout!

Bring the outdoors in almost instantly…

Eat downstairs and hang out upstairs ?

If it’s open, you can just climb in!

I love this kitchen! The commercial kitchen sink ?

I like the industrial-style lighting plus how they worked in being able to open the “garage” door/window.. Too cool!

The bathtub is kind of shaped like a heart, isn’t it? ❤️

I can’t get over how awesome and beautiful this doorway is…

Looks like a traditional swinging door but it’s NOT! 😀

Plenty of space in the dining nook too (maybe this also turns into an additional bed)

And just to think…

You can climb up to the roof thanks to the “rock climbing” siding!

Okay, no comments for months, but this is just awesome. Garage door? Really? Holy cow. Very innovative. Got to look into that. On second thought, they aren’t typically well insulated…. Nevertheless, way cool…for me.

You can get some good insulated garage doors, I had a couple on my garage in Minnesota.

Absolutely love! Great volume and maximum utilization. Huge tub. Bright ibterior. No faults at all.

Faults for me are those rock climbing bits and pieces. Love the curved top door, don’t love the aesthetics of the metal parts that attach it to the guide rail. But then I can’t think of another way to make it work.

I’ve seen the sectional garage door on other THOW’s and I always wonder how they make it draught proof. That’s a biggie especially if you are located in a cold (read: snow, hail, sleet) zone.

Weatherstripping, probably. I’ve lived in houses with doors like that, although not all-glass, and not had a draft problem.

Regarding the lovely curved door with its sliding “barn door” hardware: I wonder if you could do the main weight-bearing attachment at the top of the arch, and use thin but strong metal cables (e.g.: the steel cables often seen in “marine” theme decor for things like safety railings and attaching “hanging” stairs) at the two corners? I expect they used the thicker black-finished metal fittings because they matched the “garage-door” hardware for the picture-window cover, but thin steel cables would be less noticeable…

I was think something similar to the track with wheel hanger like on a sliding closet door only heavy duty. You could use one heavy duty roller bracket top center on the door. It could even be wide enough to include two rollers for stability. After all it’s just hanging.

Rock climbing isn’t my thing so the exterior of this leaves me unmoved. But there sure is a lot to like inside. I assume the dining table moves down to form a bed or seating platform?

    Thanks for sharing this.

I like the interior and the outside-cowabunga!

I am extremely impressed of the set up plan on the inside of this TH. For the size of it, I like the way it’s built with so much convenience. Although I cannot say the same of the outside. Two thumbs up for the inside!

    • Natalie
      January 19, 2017, 6:26 am

Haha the outside is certainly for a certain outdoorsy type!

    January 18, 2017, 7:39 pm

Oh it’s wonderful! I have always enjoyed seeing another sitting area up in a loft! Of course can sleep a guest or two also!
And so refreshing to see a decent sized table to eat and sit! Love large windows but not sure about the garage door aspect if it… I guess if living in 70’s weather most if the year and no bugs….:) it’s like David latimer’s home with garage door…

I love that table too, Susanne. Great touch.

Wow, gotta love the innovation and creativity here, which seems to be lacking in the majority of THOWs these days. The rock-climbing exterior isn’t for me, though. I’m not athletic and never have been, but for someone else, it just might be the thing. I would hope that there would be cushions positioned around the TH in the event someone should *oops!* lose his or her grip. My favorite feature is the arched bathroom entry. It’s just beautiful!

    • Natalie
      January 19, 2017, 6:15 am

Yes that arch is amazing. And I love how unique this home is!

  • Janeen
    January 18, 2017, 8:35 pm

I’m guessing clothes/storage is in the bathroom, directly behind the refrigerator?
I would agree that there may be insulation issues with the garage door, unless the owners are living in a primarily mild climate.
Those observations aside – I love it!

Ok, I really hate to say anything negative, since this looks like such a lovely tiny house. However, when photos are made with wide-angle lenses, it is impossible to put it in perspective. I don’t want it looking bigger. I want it looking exactly as it is. Please, please use regular lenses. The best I can tell it’s a really nice tiny house.

      January 19, 2017, 2:51 am

Sorry, it really is very beautifully done! Love the bathroom and door.

YES! I hate the “fish-eye” photos. Whenever I see them, it makes me wonder how cramped the space REALLY is, that someone felt compelled to CHEAT that way.

  • Patricia Chang
    January 19, 2017, 2:58 am

The arched door is lovely. The use of the color blue is striking. I am too old and infirm for rock climbing, but for the more athletic types it would be fun.

    • Natalie

      That it would be!

I don’t usually comment but this one really is a gem. From the heart shaped tub, to the concrete counters and vibrant colours. This is going on my favs list!

The outside looks pretty much exactly like the Jawa sandcrawler from star wars. 🙂 Not a bad thing.

Hahahah 🙂 Love that you saw that!

      January 24, 2017, 1:17 pm

The main thing I wondered about the outside: why on earth have the TALLEST part of the house facing forward? If it was towed from the low end, it’d be much more aerodynamic, and probably save ’em a fair bit in fuel costs for the tow vehicle…

      • Natalie
        January 25, 2017, 8:39 am

Hmm that is a good point!

  • Lisa Lachapelle
    January 19, 2017, 9:15 pm

Love this house, every bit of it, absolutely gorgeous!! One thing however is why have the utilitarian part of the kitchen facing that beautiful window, why not have the table there to admire the outdoors?

    • Natalie
      January 20, 2017, 9:48 am

That would be a nice switch 🙂

Shoe me a tiny house with 200 sq. ft. with no loft. The what would be a loft would be used as storage space. Thank you.

I want a house like this! It’s so beautiful inside! And the rock climbing siding is ingenious!!
