Couple Trades Apartment for Tiny Home and Garden

This post contains affiliate links.

The Saudes were tired of their city lifestyle and ready to get out to the country, where they would have outdoor space for a garden. So they decided to build their own tiny house on wheels! The main accent color for the home (tiles, cabinets, and exterior paint) is a brilliant teal-blue color.

They have a fireplace with a built-in bookshelf, a spot for a keyboard, a spacious 5-foot shower stall, and both a pollinator and food garden right outside their door! What do you think of their design? The couple now designs and builds tiny homes as a business, and a replica of their “Duchess” is for sale.

Well this is a first for me. I never watch a video on this site over 5 minutes. For reasons unknown to me I started watching even though it is almost 18 minutes long. For once there isn’t 15 or more minutes of incessant, boring yapping. This couple made a very interesting and informative video of an amazing, beautiful home, inside and out as well as the property and garden. Absolutely LOVED the fireplace. It must be so cozy on a cool evening. Personally I would prefer a smaller kitchen sink (for more counter top space) and considering how my head is drawn to every single thing lower than my height I would need at east a 7′ ceiling. Well done folks. WELL DONE! Love the fluffed butts too 😊

I maybe just a bit paranoid, but why would anyone put large windows or worse, sliding doors that lead from the outside directly into a bedroom? I would not sleep a wink with that situation.

For the loft, there has to be an egress point in case of fire… Otherwise, people do such things for various reasons like accessing a balcony, personal deck or porch, it makes the space feel more spacious, access to the back yard/personal space, increase ventilation when needed, etc.

Ooooh, thanks for sharing; I love the cosy couch window, the deck, and the feel it gives! It gave me some great inspiration for my tiny house on wheels idea.
