Couple Living Full-time in 50-square-foot Micro Home

This post contains affiliate links.

This is the story of a couple who are living full-time in a 50-square-foot micro home via Deek’s relaxshacksDOTcom YouTube Channel.

Meet Dan and Emily Hutcheson Moore- who after taking a few hands-on tiny house workshops, and gaining inspiration from several tiny house festivals, decided to take the plunge and live tiny full time- in a cabin-like vargo only 50 square feet in size at its base. This self-built home on wheels certainly is small, but does contain their needs and facilities for just about any occasion- from showering, to napping, going to the bathroom, and cooking.

Apologies for missing the explanation the first time around, but can someone tell me what exactly constitutes a “Vargo”?
I’ve heard the term before, but not sure what it means.

Depends on how it’s used… Like there are people with the last name Vargo… But it can also mean a stake used for building a wattled fence, or a slab used for dividing the space in the stall or for enclosing a property.

But it may be confusing Vardo, which generally refers to what would be considered a Gypsy Wagon… Basically any mobile structure with a curved roof in its most basic form and highly ornate and decorative in its more complex iterations…

        Ah, gotcha.
Yeah, its mentioned in the opening to this article, “…and live tiny full time- in a cabin-like vargo only 50 square feet in size at its base.”
        A typo. It happens.
Funny, people pick this stuff up and it becomes part of the lingo.
Ok, VarDo, not VarGo. Got it. Thanks again.

Well done! I am so impressed,(not an easy thing to do to impress me, lol). Impressed with what an amazing couple you are.
I got rid of my tv in 2009 and I can tell you that you take life to a better place when that is gone. Its a programming device, they even tell us that, lol. Anyway, cudos to you both and your place is just adorable as you are!

I made the decision to get rid of our cable television subscription back in 2012. We still have a TV, but it hasn’t been used since we trashed our Roku device in the latter part of 2012. Getting rid of our cable television subscription was a great time saving and productivity decision. I’ve learned and done so much since then that I probably wouldn’t have done had I not gotten rid of the cable television subscription.

This is one of my favourite Tinies. I love the look, size, simplicity and the residents. Thank you
