This post contains affiliate links.

This is the story of a man living in a converted school bus.

It’s a 2001 E350 Short School Bus that he converted himself.

Why did he do it? To quit his 9-5 job, adventure, and pursue his dreams of becoming a photographer.

His name is Adam Sauerwein. Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thank you!

I’d have liked for the video to have been less about his philosophy, more about the bus itself.

A bit rougher than some bus conversions we’ve seen, but it works. The slide-out bed is a great idea, and I love the license plate heat shield for the stove.

    Adam,
How do you handle condensation? It doesn’t look like you have insulated the ceiling. I’m in a converted box truck and have a problem in the winter with condensation. Thanks! Marcia

Marcia, on the very first photo one can see there is an exhaust fan showing atop the roof. Whilst probably for the cookstove it would also help to extract moisture. Downside of that is of course it would extract heat in cold climes.

Don’t care. I’m 65 and my hippy dippy days aren’t over.
