Really a lot of bang for your buck in this one. Even though it is small you still have everything you absolutely need. Hope someone can jump on this….nice.

I adore these tiny houses and would love to have one since I can’t afford the rent in Santa Cruz , ca. , but when it comes right down to it, you either have to have a 1 ton truck to haul it with or friends or relatives with property. Am I right? Other suggestions?

You’re right – and finding a good place to put it isn’t always easy/convenient.

I’ve heard of some very creative solutions for placing tiny homes, including putting an ad on Craigslist for a place to park and paying minimal rent for the space. Also, if you’re going to park it someplace and not move often, why not rent a truck for the times you do move it? No need to own a truck you’ll only use once a year or so. However, I just found a great 2007 Silverado for $9000. which will be perfect when my tiny house is ready!

      Hi Sherri,

The conversion unit featured here could probably be towed with a 1/2 ton pickup. Most modern 1/2 ton trucks have a tow capacity of about 5,000 lbs & I doubt this one weighs much over 4K. As far as what size truck you need, it will be dependent on the weight of the trailer you want to tow. If you wanted to tow 10k or more such as many of the larger THOW weigh, you would need a 1 ton truck. I had a small biz for 2 decades, owned/towed many different sizes & types of trailers on a daily basis so I’m fairly knowledgeable on this topic. Let me know if you have questions.

Very well laid out.. Like the 3 large windows. But lacks on storage for food items , pots, pans, dishes.. and was there any closets at all for hanging clothes and other storage?

Spoke too soon, My Bad! I just noticed the few cabinets in the kitchen area, which now only leaves a missing closet for clothes.

Nice getaway trailer to go places and at least get a good nights sleep without the hard ground in a tent.
