72,000.00 for this! What drugs are they on! No way for 105 sq ft!
Well, thanks to inflation, what was $61,386.00 in 2017 is now $72,000.00 because that’s how much less our money is worth now… While this is in California, just about everything there is going to be higher priced, and the builder caters to those who are concerned about having a healthy to live in structure. So everything as natural as possible with non-toxic or low to no-VOC properties. Add, things like organic linseed oil finish on exposed wood surfaces is not a cheap process…
Regular commercial linseed oil has solvents, etc. mixed into it, to help it cure faster, and would be toxic enough to need to be handled with gloves until it fully cures.
Mind, there are people who are chemically sensitive and could have their health impacted by how most structures are built these days. Along with people really into everything being organic, sustainable, etc. So they’re paying for something a bit more than just the basic structure… Just doesn’t apply to everyone…
Considering inflation and the types of materials used, the price seems spot-on. It looks like something that will last a long time and can be used in a few different ways. With payments, this could be far less expensive than any other option for building an addition or renting space. And it’s far better looking than a camper or RV! I’d rather buy quality and know it will last.
The tiny house is cute and gorgeous, I love it. With all the quality, finishes and all the details, mentioned above, I will say that $72,000 is a steal.
