Family-style Van Conversion with Bunk Beds

On the outside, it looks like an ordinary passenger van, doesn’t it?

When you go inside, there are bunk beds.

Overhead storage, kitchen space, and yes, a 2nd row for passengers.

Where would you take you and your loved ones with a van like this? Cook top and refrigerator…

The upper bunk.

The second row is perfect for the kids.

The lower bunk with a view…

The front seats swivel for a family gathering.

It’s actually a dually van, which means you’ve got four wheels/tires in the rear. This also means you can tow an extra travel trailer in case you really want a dedicated indoor shower and bath.

Nice photo setup with limited storage. Let’s be real here. Taking a family with children, this van would look crowded or messy carrying the luggage alone unless you had alternate add-on storage. Depending on how the lower bed is made, I see little space for storing luggage under it.

Depends on how long a trip the family would be taking, a weekend getaway wouldn’t need much and the entire space under the bed is a storage garage, but does share space with the tanks. But you could always add a utility trailer and tow that for extra storage for longer trips…

People have traveled with less, though… Like there was a family that traveled in a 4×4 vehicle for months, using tents to sleep, storing most of their stuff on the roof, etc. Roughing it, basically, to enjoy an adventure together… Not for everybody but it can be a way to create memories that’ll last a lifetime, going out to remote locations to see and experience things you may not have even read of…
