Tiny Happy Homes Delivers Bumbleshack Tiny House to Florida

The other day I got to meet up with Joe Everson of Tiny Happy Homes along with his happy clients, Lisa and Jon, who he just delivered their tiny house to in Florida.

Unfortunately the timing of everything wasn’t perfect so I didn’t get to visit the house  yet (don’t worry you’ll still get to see it) but I did get to hang out with them and get to know them for a bit which was awesome.

We met about an hour away from the house so we can hang out at the beach. We had so much fun we totally forgot to take pictures together. I’m planning another visit soon once the tiny house is ready to stay in. I’ll let you know when it’s ready to because for a little while they’ll be renting it out until they officially move into it.

Like the white inside but have never liked the traditional roof line which makes for such a cramped bed loft. Much prefer a shed / style roof because it gives far more space.

Also dislike bench seat ‘couch’ set up because they are so uncomfortable. When I sit on a couch I want to sit back and actually relax, not feel like I am on some picnic bench with a few pillows.

I like the bench for storage but I dislike the idea of sitting facing a wall so close, I would prefer a lengthwise sitting area if possible. The lap siding for the shower is genius and probably saved some money, I also really like the deck flooring in the shower. I have always liked beadboard, and I also like the corrugated panels on the exterior. In fact I wouldn’t be afraid to use that mostly on the exterior bordered by some nice wood trim.

Very nice. I’d be kind of skeptical about so much white but it really works.

Well you could always add your own particular splash of colour… and white as a base makes for no offshading of the colour over the top.

I love the white! And the shower is terrific! Can’t quite tell where the composting toilet is located but I love the design and the use of corrugated metal on the exterior. If I had one tiny suggestion, i would say that I had rather have drawers for storage under the sofa rather than having to remove a cushion to get to storage because if it is one thing that I have learned living in three tiny homes now is that one always ends up using what is stored away on a pretty regular basis, so I would be dragging those cushions off and on a lot. Just a thought. Love your houses though!

My husband and I met Joe and his dog Lambert a couple of years ago in Asheville when he did his first tiny house tour. Awesome guy with amazing talent! I’m so glad you featured him in the newsletter today!

I was wondering what was the shower made of?
