Lamar did a great job for a minimum viable home He has some other good designs too.
I’d never use drywall in a trailer or anywhere. Door skin, 1/4″ ply, etc either varnished or painted is far easier, cheaper, lasts far longer, doesn’t crack while moving and weighs less..
Saying it sleeps 4 means that is all it can do with 4 people, 2 is the max for any amount of time and 1 is better.
I liked the addition as more simple and maybe 2 additions facing each other especially 10′ wide would be killer.
Tiny homes are prefect now as those getting unemployment will get a total of $7200 over 10 wks on top of state unemployment and with time available, building a TH is a smart way to survive the next 2 yrs.
Or even build them for rent, sale as a new job, income. Just keep your overhead very low so you can make money at a low prices.
Except for some plumbing, door, I built a 10’x16′ for under $3k in new parts in 2 days with a helper. I’m really good but most handy people should be able to build a simple TH in a few weeks. The trick is picking a simple one with 1 roof plane, bath/kitchen on one end and open the rest if 10′ wide, can use standard furniture and far more flexible than 8′ wide.

Jerry (or anyone else who might know), would that ” 10’x16′ for under $3k ” scale up linearly?

In other words, could you build ‘2’ of those (in form of a single 20 x 16 structure) for around $6k?
      Or ‘4’ of them (say, as a 20 x 32 structure) for $12k?

Or does going bigger automatically jack the cost for some reason/s?
I’m trying to figure out what might be the most cost-effective size for a small (but not tiny) home.
Thanks so much for any feedback.
