This post contains affiliate links.

This is Bryce and Rasa’s North American tiny house on wheels. It’s the vehicle that they use to travel the country to create many of the amazing episodes on their popular Living Big In A Tiny House YouTube channel. And, it’s actually a converted ambulance called the Campulance!

It allows them to live, travel, and work from anywhere in the United States while they capture, edit, and publish incredible stories from their journeys. I just love this couple, they are so inspiring, how about you?

Bryce and Rasa’s Campulance… They converted an ambulance into their custom motorhome/traveling media studio

Looks like it can take on anything, doesn’t it?

An ambulance like this is pretty rugged.

The seats look super comfortable, don’t they?

Direct access to the rear from inside.

They actually left the ambulance stock.

They found it has everything they need while on the road.

It has plenty of seating, storage, and floor space for their needs.

There’s a place for everything in this ambulance.

Clothes storage in clear storage area.

I never knew an ambulance would be so perfect to use as a camper.

This is the vehicle that they use for the famous Living Big In A Tiny House YouTube channel!

This is where lots of their videos are edited!

Incredible, isn’t it?

Turning an ambulance into a CAMPulance.

This area holds their suitcases and what-not.

Where do they sleep? Good question.

They use an inflatable mattress.

This is what it looks like in sleep mode.

Open the doors up for a fresh view.

One vehicle, lots of purpose.

Have you ever considered turning an ambulance into your motorhome?

That’s what they did! And they’ve used it to discover and capture so many incredible tiny house stories.

I see a teapot, but cant find any cooking facilities -stove, sink? Did I miss it somewhere? Also, is that little white door , back next to the back exit double door, access to a restroom? Or did I miss that somewhere else? Help please, folks, and thanks!

Well no sign of a sink in the video, that I saw anyway. Cooking? Done outside on a campstove. Which is all hunky dory in the right climate… hate to think what it’d be like in the middle of winter in say… Portland.

Last time we were in Florida in winter it was so cold the gators went into winter mode, noses out of the ice. Ditto New Orleans, where some one froze to death outside our camp site. We were freezing with a 36′ RV, winterized, three furnaces, extra electric box heaters, heaters in the water and sewage bays, and the entire STATE shut down for 3 days due to what WE from Upstate NY would call Tuesday in October. So this is, um, cute, n all, but not what **I** would call a functional home, of any sort. No bathroom at all? Maybe a plug in kettle? Not a box or cooler for food? Do they eat ALL meals outside of the rig? Do they need to run the engine for heat? I’ll stick with ones either built for this lifestyle– which is NOT a “Tiny house”, or one made TO be used as a travel vehicle to live in.

I would like to know mpg and if there is a video tour, like what do all the gadgets do in front and back of ambulance? Are there are laws that disallow any of the tech to be there for civilians and or can use all of it?

I love it. Love the idea, but cannot see how it is a “tiny house.” Looks like the inside of an ambulance. Are all the people needs-bathroom, cooking, closets, etc., hidden in some way? Would like to see more of the house lifestyle. Do they sleep on the air mattress, or is that for the kids who own the toys on the couch? Appreciate seeing it, but seems incomplete.

Well, you asked for suggestions — so here’s mine:
I’m 71 years old now but I was young once and I used to sit all twisted like I saw Rasa doing in the video while sitting at the cabinet with nowhere underneath to put her knees. Please, for both your sakes, build some sort of pull-out desk[s] so you can sit straight when you’re using the computer. Good for eating, too. Believe me, your back will thank you when you get to be my age. Mine is quite unhappy with me, these days, because I didn’t take care of it 50 years ago.
As to your other plans – – – oh, yes. Lots and lots and lots of wood of various types. Reused and recycled would be lovely. Not only good for the environment but more aesthetically pleasing, as well.

P.S. Really looking forward to seeing an update once the renovations are under way / completed.

Break the word down camp(er)-(amb)ulance. This vehicle is used as is in the original state with minor modifications for Camping. Anyone can live short term in a box or any vehicle while cooking/eating outside and toileting outside. As a camper you use local facilities for bathing or perhaps the local pond, lake or stream. This couple provided photos on how they use the existing space for ‘living’ while staying in the camper. Indoor cooking can be achieved with an electric burner. Small refrigeration coolers are available to purchase that may fit in one of the storage areas. An ambulance of this type is often well insulated during construction and many come with a built-in generator. Yes they do make 4×4 ambulances. There are other videos and tiny house clips of folks who converted this type of ambulance for actual long term living.

If you noticed the single seat in the photos it is located where your feet are on the floor and nothing in front of you. (Pictured with bed inflated) That would be a good place to install one of those swing out tables to allow for desk work or eating and still save the back.

Now that’s a perfect canvas to build off of. Plenty of storage, places to sit, etc…..I’d be scared that it’s haunted though lol. I bet at least a half dozen people died back there.

I saw an episode where he shows his YT audience his tiny house in North America which he tows with the campulance, if I’m not mistaken, and it broke down and he had to get it fixed. Good for him and Rasa to be traveling around, doing what he loves best. I love watching his videos!!!

    Here’s nother option, thanks THT.com!
This 1 is for a fast, minimal conversion time/cost/materials/etc that is still mobil. Not my choice (no wheel is #1 for me). But there’s plenty to like for the right folk.
    Keep’em comin,

Well, to be honest they didn’t convert it. Even with using stock set up. They made no real conversions. I’ve been looking for an ambulance to make some modifications to and travel. Hopefully Xmas I will be gifting myself with an ambulance.

Ambulances come set up with lots of places to plug in things and storage, depending on how new it is, lots of things can Run on power with the truck turned off such as a stove, heater, etc but the bathroom would probably have to be quite primitive and just be a bucket with a seat on it. There is not enough space for more than a bed pan back there…
