Fun! I always enjoy seeing the floor plans. Not sure I’d stay here unless I could also see the engineering report…
I think the house is cute but I feel that trees that are alive should not be used as building components.
But they aren’t Roxanne. The trees are “next” to the house except for one that is growing through a hole in the deck. They are part of the scenery, and quirkiness, of the house. And, my pet theory is, the tree through the deck has been done so that hard core tree huggers can have some fun. But anyway, as the tree grows in diameter it is an easy fix to make the deck hole slightly larger to accommodate the extra girth.
I’d stay here… if only NZ’s borders were open and I had the dosh to spend to get there.
I was really surprised to see that they had all the plumbing done like a regular home now if that’s a real woodstove it will be perfect. It’s pretty perfect even if it’s not.
I couldn’t believe it was plumbed either! How nice.
The style reminds me of the Forest Ranger Lookout Stations we have in USA. I can see some American refurbishing an abandoned ranger station into this type home. Certainly would be a good style to build near potential flood zones or changing tide areas.
Oh that’s a great point!
Wow, love this! Wish it were for sale! I’d move from southern CA to Maine!
Oh wow that would be quite the move!
I love the color of the Kitchen cabinets!!! Do you know the paint and color that was used? This treehouse is so cozy and looks so peaceful!!
