  These are gorgeous! And…..the beds and couches are not near the sinks. 😀 They really do look comfortable, as well as beautiful.

  How do you get out if there’s a fire? Otherwise, looks really well made and I like the streamlined exterior and clean lines of the interior. The tow vehicle’s a nice touch. bB

    In RV’s it’s typically whatever has a red lever to open it… Look at the bathroom wall by the shower and just past the wheel well bench seat…

    I was thinking the exact same thing. If you are caught in the front bedroom, you can not get out. Windows are too small.

      There is a mandated escape hatch in the shower room. It’s also handy for opening to vent the humidity and to use the shower hose outside.

  The sad thing is this fine aero lightweight trailer is still state of the art and more, far better than made now. Note it only needs 1 axle as built to aircraft standards of the time. And a fine restoration on it.

  Wow! During the video, I was thinking, that’s “what I would’ve done! Or that’s the exact electrical system I daydream of!” I was impressed by the weight. The bath and shower area were awesome! It seems the folks that executed this fine pull-behind travel trailer has experience in camping. There are so many little things I see here that add up to AWESOME! 👍🏼

  We average 28+ mpg while traveling over 14,000 miles in our Bowlus Road Chief. Tow vehicle is BMW X3 with 2-liter diesel. The construction and engineering and even the layout is far, far better than our 2006 Airstream 25 FB as well as 3,000 pounds lighter but only 1 foot shorter.

  I absolutely “love” that second photo, from the top. The plate at bottom-left is spotless, despite being covered by “food”. I smell a sales and marketing rat. The Porsche hauler is “perfect”. Perfect bullshit. No sale, mother trucker!

    Yes, all these photos are company photos. The Bowlus Road Chief was towed routinely by a Porsche Panamera, a company car, three years ago. Now, the company car is a Porsche Macan, which also has no trouble towing a Bowlus Road Chief or it’s larger sibling. Heck, right from the start, the Bowlus Road Chief company demonstrator was towed by a Saab 900 convertible with about 180 hp, if memory serves. One owner that I know of tows theirs with a Tesla. When the dry weight is only 2,300 pounds, you have lots of towing options. BTW, the tongue weight of the Bowlus Road Chief is only about 150 pounds. Contrast that to over 600 pounds for my 0ld 25-foot Airstream. No anti-sway or leveling hitch required for the Bowlus unlike the Airstream.

  I bought a 2017 Bowlus used and had 2 issues where I called the company to get information and they refused to give me advise on phone and wanted me to make a service appointment. What, I am 2000 mi. away from them and trying to get ready for a trip. The info I wanted concerned ball height, and a shower control leak, most likely a DIY situation. The woman who answered the phone put me in contact with one of their engineers who was telling me the solution when she came back on the phone, stopping the engineer from talking and said ” service is part of how we make money.” Not the after sale service policy I expected. Buyer beware. Trailer excellent, after sale service astoundingly bad.
