Nice inside! But the outside is a bit Boxy? Reminds me of a Container house.

The kitchen eliminates this THOW from consideration. No upper kitchen cabinets is a deal breaker. A bathtub is also mandatory. The roofline makes a closet in the bedroom impossible. This THOW looks pretty but it would make actually living in it impossible. At least for me.

Sandy, that is of course your choice but realize it’s a custom built home… which means it can be designed any way you want it!

One of the points of getting a Tiny House built is the freedom to have it designed any way you want with any layout, materials, and options you may want and can afford…

How someone else had theirs built in no way limits you to what you can have in your own unless you buy one already made for someone else… But Tiny Houses are also fairly reasonable in how easily they can be remodeled as well…

As a former house builder, someone who has watched the rebuilding of numerous vintage trailers, homes and buildings has there been any thought to discussion of how these various homes are actually built? Even personal built homes would be good to add to the mix more.
Any home that leaves place for intrusion of moisture, cold, heat or other problems that would shorten the life of a home need to be addressed also.
I have seen house that poor design led to massive costs in repairs less that twenty years down the road.
I also would like to see various ideas on the basic construction, especially on the mobile type homes that would see various weather conditions whether being towed through inclement weather or kept in such a varied climate as much of the country is.
    Just an idea.
Thank you for the information added to the mix.

Hey, Canyon Man, it would be indeed interesting if this site could get more in depth on the technical side of things for those of us who can really get into it but there are a number of other resources you can check out in the meantime.

Like there’s a number of Youtube channels where details of construction are showcased…

Zyl Vardos Channel, a notable builder of artistic houses with curved roofs, etc., has done a number of live sessions videos where he talks and demonstrates principles that he uses in his builds, for example… Though, presently he hasn’t been active for awhile but should get back to it once he has more free time… The nice thing about his live sessions is you can ask him questions and you can check the videos he has already posted…

There’s also Tiny House Customs channel, Incredible Tiny Homes (they also hold a weekly live session but on Facebook), Tiny Nest (DIY’ers who are now advocates and documented the building of their THOW), Titan Tiny Homes (builder who has posted videos covering some aspects of what they do), and a number of others you could check out that either show present builds or archived how they built their tiny house.

There’s also a number of Facebook groups like Shed To House, which cater to discussions on specific types of Tiny Houses like Shed conversions, Yurts, Container homes, Cob Houses, Tree houses, Hobbit houses, Cabins, Cottages, etc.

Along with Instagram, where you can usually find a number of people who posted photos and made notes of their build for comparisons and reference.

Looks good. Just could not deal with the loft. Bad knees.

My oh my! Am loving the cedar lined bathroom! I like the hanging storage in sleeping loft. I like this house very much and would hope that a 10-12 foot wide version will be developed. I am NOT in the market for traveling everywhere in my THOW but looking to live full time in one. The 8.5 versions are simply too narrow. I am all about downsizing and living simply but there are basic needs to be met. Clothes storage for one. A place to sit and eat a meal and a place to sit and watch tv comfortably. We all have computer workstation needs these days as well. I could be happy with a murphy bed to sleep on, giving room to practice yoga or tai chi during the day. Lofts are cool for us over 50 crew but …as an option!
