    A frame houses? Hmmm, no matter which way I look at them I’m always leaning away from them… sooooo much lost space with the walls.

    Agree with Eric, as a design the A frame has a lot of flaws with regard to wasted space but this one is one of the getter designs. Many just have a ladder but this has stairs and a decent layout. I never foirget that I grew up with an A frame as one of the neighboring houses and they (apart from being very wealthy)managed to raise 6 kids in it. It wasn’t a huge house either, the rooms must have been fairly small upstairs but they still did it. 3 bed if I remember rightly and still there.
