That was so informative. It is good to hear what she would change and loved and about putting the kitchen on one side and how that fool toilet works. LOL Lots of good things to consider when having one built.
Good info for someone looking to travel with home. But I’m interested this great home of yours and in longer-term parking of it. Is it difficult to find places to park long term? Would I do better buying a lot somewhere? And are there haul services that can safely transport a house like this (as I’m not ready to invest in a huge truck for this purpose).
Having land ready to park it helps but finding one that it’ll be legal to live on it, in the home full time, can be tricky… Have to check with the local authorities on what’s allowed or seek out tiny house specific communities/villages that you can rent or own a lot… Easier if you intend to use it as vacation or guest house, and there’s a growing number of places that will allow it as a ADU… Also full time RV parks could be an option…
For transport, yes, plenty of hauling services that will handle that… Whole industry for transporting goods, RV’s, etc. as well as Tiny House specific movers…
So I guess I’m more curious about why the house is for sale after watching the video it sounded like your happy with the tiny, although that might be a touchy subject. Is there a price range your looking for ?

This is truly a well thought out design. That said, it makes you wonder why they’re selling their dream home? The only reservation I have with a THOW, is with the difficulty there seems to be for most people to find full time parking. Unless of course, you’re willing to live in an rv park. And so many of those, at least around me, are seasonal.
It’s undoubtedly the biggest obstacle to tiny house living, and very much depends on how close to a town/city center you need to live or work. Most people I see living tiny are doing so on rural land they’re renting from someone who owns it (or, as you said, they’re in an RV park or tiny house village).
Reason they’re selling is stated in the article, it’s because they’re concerned about the Covid-19 virus and getting through winter stuck at home with 5 year old twins… Feel they need a larger space to be safe…
Yeah, if I remember correctly, they were used to getting to have the children at school, but with everything that’s happening, they’re all at home more so they want dedicated spaces for schooling, working, and what not, which makes sense.
I agree and with what is happening around with the pandemic I am looking for land to purchase and make a home base; not doing the RV Park thing for the foreseeable future.
