I do not like fake bricks cladding – stop pretending it to be something it is not (I guess it is a matter of taste). And loose that monster of a washer/dryer thing. It looks like it wants to jump out and eat you. Get a combined front loader washing and dryer machine, which only takes up half the space. Then it would be possible to have shelves over the washer. Apart from these two minor details, it looks really nice.

Spoon full of sugar goes a long ways. Love that we can support each other in this community, even if it’s not our style or how we would have done it.

I on the other hand like the use of faux lightweight Brick or stone in this application. After all, we are looking at an attempt to impress the eye and amass amenities to complete the illusion. True I would have featured the used brick with a lot of white or gray over plaster so it would lighten the area. Real Bricks and plaster do noot travel down the highway real well not to mention the weight factor.

I guess thats the whole thing about building your own, you do it your way. Personally, I love this design.

Sweet little space. I have an idea re: entries for these little houses. I hate the idea of an entry door right by the living space–I think a slide-out entry apace would be a good idea. I’m sure there are technical issues with that but I have seen tiny houses and RVs with slide-outs.

Well this tiny is located where my aunt currently lives in Florida so the next time I take a 3 hour trip to see her, I’m definitely going to contact the owner beforehand to see if I can go by and tour it. I think it’s perfect for an Airbnb but I would not personally choose it to live in full-time. I’m not a fan of the barn style THOW’s. Overall, I think the owner(s) created a nice space to rent, which gives them a second income, especially here in FL since it’s so close to the beach!

You know other than the lack of a master on the main floor this has a LOT of really good ideas and accomplishments. The window end wall would be awesome on view property. A little cramped but I think that bath is top ten material. The use of planking was ideal and with the limited space a maximum use was created. Dutch door w/d and the two-burner cooktop is showing a smart designer. This is just a few color choices from being a great little coastal hideout, change the roof to a double dormer with shutters and you have the best of Nantucket. REALLY it has actual livingroom seating and with the side entry an unrestricted seat. A fold-down dock and you have mooring wherever the tide takes you. KUDOS from Tugboatwilly. And yes we liked Melbourne even though our stay was short being on the Intracoastal Waterway in an RV Park was swell.

I really love everything about this house except for one thing: there is nowhere to store clothing, folded or hanging. That may suit a B&B just fine, but space would need to be added to add a closet if this were a permanent residence.

Kathy, there are people, unlike us, who don’t keep a large wardrobe and don’t need storage for clothing. they have a few outfits and that’s it. With a washer/dryer, you just put your clothes through and wear them again. Closets just encourage buying more clothes. O.K. some of us don’t need encouragement, we need an extra house for the wardrobe.

the end wall of windows are fabulous! Stove is my kind of stove, small. Great concept.
Its always nice to see what people are doing in other countries.

This looks a lot like the ones I draw out. The space for each is pretty good. I like 2 top burner. I love the steps up. I even like the end with that couch . You could always make a sto under the couch. Sto under the floor on the sides of the loft area. Tiny is for getting out and about. You don’t stay in 24/7. Finding a space where you could bring a few plants and your cat or small dog. not always easy. Who cares what the wall in the kitchen is looking like. You can always add your own touches. That’s why its tiny…Affordable to change what you want. Right now I have a small bedroom, a shared bath and kitchen. Ill take that tiny home anytime. Soon enough. You can lighten up the space with some white paint. Washer yes. Dryer doesn’t matter. I can hang dry too. A hide away clothes line made just right. You could make a short but functionable shelving for clothes in front of the loft bed.

I have personally toured this house several times and it is one of my favorite tiny houses. It is bright and cheery, and appears very spacious because of the beautiful windows. It has great storage every where and I love the washer and dryer because they are far better than the combo units that many houses are forced to have because of a lack of space. Anyone that gets this house will most likely enjoy living in it for many years.
