There is no bathroom ? eikkk…. And I don’t see many electrical outlets for fax or printers or regular desktop computers ? It needs a bit more rethinking me thinks…

No bathroom on this one unfortunately. I thought the same thing! But this was a custom build, so the customer didn’t want a bathroom apparently. They probably have access to one nearby in the main house on the property, which makes sense. It probably made it easier to do and a lot less expensive as they didn’t have to create an extra bathroom w/ hook-ups, etc.

Something to keep in mind is local rules and regulations can prohibit certain things or have a threshold where it can get much more expensive.

Like there can be a limit on the number of bathrooms and kitchens you can have on the lot, and adding one in even a temporary structure could be prohibited.

Alternatively, normal exceptions for things you can treat like a storage shed if it’s just under a certain minimum sq ft of usually 200, to avoid needing permits, etc. can be voided if it is plumbed and equipped with a bathroom and kitchen, quickly adding all the bureaucracy and additional costs associated with traditional housing construction.

While there’s also maintenance and having to worry about how it may handle extreme climates, cold winters, etc. It’s much easier to keep the kitchen plumbing away from the exterior than it is the bathroom, for example.

So location can be a contributing factor to why it was designed a certain way…

Great idea and with fold up desks it doubles as accommodation for guests. The only thing missing is a bathroom.

Totally needs a bathroom. I’m sure the plan for the buyer is to use available facilities in the house when needed, but one could also build out a nice little outhouse right next to the tiny house as an alternative.

Does the bladder know to turn itself off when in a office environment?

It could definitely use a bathroom option. Another way to do it is an outhouse or in this case they are probably just planning on using the facilities in the home on the property which is probably very close by.
