Backyard Cottage Recording Studio

This is the Backyard Cottage Recording Studio designed by Microhouse.

Jon and Rita wanted to build a recording studio that would also serve as a guest cottage for friends and family.  We worked with them and an acoustical engineer to create a simple yet elegant backyard cottage. The cottage contains the recording studio, a kitchen, bath and a loft like bedroom.

Like the eating bar in front of a window. Don’t see that very often. Most are facing a TV somewhere. Maybe they have a great view. Love the tall ceiling–acoustically designed no doubt.

The Art Touch Sensitive, for those who make Art. Graat the effect “I see and I do not see” the wood elements of the upper floor.

Nice to see people doing their thing on their property and being able to expand on their talents.. But how does this coincide with tiny house living…?

I think all tiny structures can serve as inspiration. For example: That awesome diver wall! Is this just a tiny house? No. But now I know I totally want a wall like that in mine someday 🙂 — Tiny House Talk Team

I’m loving this structure. If I had land, I’d love to have a music studio and have friends over to jam and give mini concerts. Love it!

I have to apologize to everyone for my previous statement , it really is a nice house when you really stop to look at it…! It has a lot of natural light coming in during the day, and if you have screens in the upper windows you can let some fresh air in as well as circulate.. It has a beautiful kitchen, and the stairs leading to the loft bedroom are gorgeous to say the least…! Yes I sure misjudged this house first time around, and as I said I apologize…!
