Asha’s Quaint Cottage Van in Australia

This post contains affiliate links.

Asha considers herself a nomadic faerie, and her van feels more like a seaside cottage than a home-on-wheels. The quaint cottage interior includes shiplap walls and ceilings, and powdery-blue cabinets with all her not-pretty appliances hidden behind cabinet doors.

She actually lives full-time in the city where she’s studying, which has it’s challenges in terms of finding parking, but the lifestyle is worth it for her to follow her dreams.

Enjoy the video tour she sent us, along with her letter about her van life and philosophy pasted below.

Asha’s Message:

Hello my dear friends, my name is Asha and I go by Lemurian Faerie on social platforms.

I am a living, breathing juxtaposition. I crave the nomadic and carefree lifestyle whilst also desperately needing the comforts and sanctuary of a homebody. My home provides me with this, liberating me from societies boarders and giving me permission to bask in the simplicities of life.

I reside full time in my converted 2014 Renault Master LWB in Australia. Currently in this phase in my life, I am still tied to the rat race to some degree. Being an urban nomad has many challenges. I work a humbling job as a cleaner in a day spa. I am studying a niche profession which means I must pay my way. Like many, I do not have the privilege of acers of generational land to build on. But my vision for a quaint, simple, grounding cottage in the mountains keep me going.
I believe many will relate to my story and my intentions are to provide a beacon of hope. That by listening to your inner cries of your soul, and trusting in the process, you too will overcome and slowly build your dreams.
Thank you for allowing me to share and give back to the alternative dwelling community that inspired and supported me to follow my souls cries.
Big love, Asha

One of the most beautifully done short van clips I have ever watched! Good for you to reach for your dreams.

Where was that piano music from? I must have relisted to it xxxx times! Well done. Happy Trails.

The composer is Florida-native Aakash Ghandi.
The second piece starting about 2:05 is Just Stay.

    Dear One,
    .
    Such a precious gift!
I wept at 2:05 with the tinkling piano dancing the breezy stringers.
    The gauzy drapes blowing gently.
    .
    A sweet peaceful eight minutes.
    Thank you for sharing.

I agree with the above comments. Beautifully done video and van. Don’t change the paint colors, they are perfect! I wouldn’t change a thing, you got it right! So well done. Not sure what the total cost on this was but it is one of the nicest ones I have seen. Very well thought out.

I love that it was a “different” video and yet such a great tour.

    Thank you for watching…???

    NO, thank you for showing/sharing.

What a wonderful van/setup you have. Perfect for you. You’ve made it your own. Gobsmacked is the only word I can use and its perfect, perfect. Plus icing on the cake is Aussie/NZ powerpoints inside the van. With switches so you can leave it in, but turn on and off at will.

Beautiful home. And I have the same exact mirror – I guess we have similar taste!
