Looks great for family of six. Wonder what you could do with budget max. of $50,000 for family of one older person with life expectancy of 25 years.
1 story spaces designed based upon average usage: 12 lounge hours, 8 hr sleep hours, 3 hours kitchen and 2 hours per day in bathroom. Also under floor storage, mechanicles on inside for Texas.
I don’t see the necessity of building gold quality if only tin is needed.
    Your thoughts.

Although the floor plan is very well done, I too have a Choking Price Problem. Overall appearance is very clean should you be a person who likes to scrub walls and ceilings daily….Maybe they also build food carts? I have no problem with the survivalists that HAVE to have Off Grid. But as there is a terminal Political Party Actively destroying the Safety Net and EVERYTHING that supports Seniors, Poor, Veterans, and People of Color. They (under Russian Direction) will be successful so I am like you in thinking a temporary place at low cost and upkeep is what is needed.
Factory housing like Park Models start at around $22,500 for a “beer can” but are VERY shoddy for the most part as the people that own the Factories would never live in them, they are merely a source of money. That flaw in manufacturing has been the big incentive for Tiny Home DIY projects today along with the desire to utilize good discarded materials. Now that Builders are turning out Swiss Watches and Piano’s for the monetarily significant clientele, WE should be more than willing to use their Ideas that apply. A real shame some creative builders don’t Use Brad Kittel’s system at Tiny Texas Houses. He has set up and operated the FINEST recycle system in the USA by far…..AND he has seminars, books, and tapes on every facet of the process. Unfortunately, that is more of a young person paradise for most, if you are over 70 and in the avagrage shape, it will probably not work for us to DIY.
Nice that I can kibitz from on high, I am just pointing out what I have found with YEARS of research and travel across 39 states in this country, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Austrailia, Panama, Viet Nam, Laos, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and China….I’ve been around and done some things so my opinion has a base….Waiting for the Reich to come up with an Idea for our housing has bad Juju for us, and as you can see their cure is just to cut Taxes, Social Services, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and provide NO low-income housing under ANY circumstances. (Depending on how you feel about Ovens and Gas chambers as we are talking about the SAME Financiers)…..
Rather I know there are some great honest craftsmen and some youngsters that are just trying to learn that will take these Ideas and build off them FOR you. We have several quality builders here on the west coast that would be more than willing to work with you, but I recommend you look local. Other than most of FloriDUH you will find people that may not advertise but are capable and have REFERENCES….In ALL Building projects ALWAYS get REFERENCES….ALWAYS, and don’t be afraid to check the BBB as well as local UNION HALL Builders Lists as a last resort.

I took my meds and thank God I did. It will keep me from banging my head on the concrete. Bad juju, the Reich, Putin? Dude, are you high? I couldn’t understand half of what you were saying.

Great comment Bill, so true with savage capitalism, you create more poor people, more desperation and more crimes.

Hmm, based in Santa Barbara… Seems Hoffman has a thing for Airstreams, many of the earlier projects are renovated Airstreams and that design aspect seems incorporated into this THOW… Welded aluminum wall framing, contoured interiors, etc.

Probably catering to people from the same market as well… Mind, something like a 2018 Airstream RV Atlas Murphy Suite Motor Home Class B+ is over $217,000…

Even a small camper, like the 2018 Airstream Basecamp that’s only 16′ 3″ counting the propane tank holder on the trailer tongue, starts around $40,000 and can go over $47,000…

So it’s a market that people pay a lot for the high cost materials, design and visual appeal…

Quite nice but how do you cook anything for dinner other than heating a can of soup on the cooktop. I do think it is probably worth the money and I like the sleekness of it inside and out.

Chuck, according to the specs on the linked site, the kitchen has a full size convection oven and microwave combo that is installed below the three-burner gas stove top.

It’s one of those concealed kitchen features. Some high end kitchens hide everything until you’re ready to use it… Even the fridge can be made to look like another cabinet door…

    too much money.

Although I like style, materials and floor plan, pricing of this and some other THOW are getting out of reach for most of us.
Six figures aren’t a good investment for a THOW.
I would rather spend my money to purchase and renovate an older Airstream or Fore Travel and enjoy life instead.

Michael, that was what this builder was doing before this model…

Airstreams can be expensive, though, if you get them new… Never mind customized.

While DIY is how to get both Tiny Houses and RV’s to how you want them at a affordable price… Paying someone else to do all the work will always cost more unless it’s on a mass produced scale…

First look I saw a mirrored exterior which can blend in so well you may not know this house exists. That may be good for the person wanting to ‘blend in’ or ‘keep a low profile’, hide from someone so to speak. Inside look is so dazzling I felt blinded and thought it was too sterile like a hospital used to be. Sorry folks, this model is not for me. I need more color and down to earth looks of a simpler style and more suited to my finances. I like nature and want to be part of it not invisible with it.

My issue with mirrored surfaces in the extreme…..is that they are a huge danger to our feathered friends and giving the way way the planet is going anything we can do to help all creatures has merit.
