Amazing Tiny Home on Wheels with a Dog Elevator!

Tiny home dwellers are endlessly creative. This tiny home on wheels even has a dog elevator to help the dog get to the loft!

From the outside, you’ll see deep orange clapboards surrounding the house with cream trim and a red metal roof. The roofline includes two dormers to allow extra space for two lofts: one as the master bedroom and the other for guests. On the inside, there are white walls with wooden floors and ceilings. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator and an oven/stove. A ladder rolls out from behind a bookcase for access to the guest loft and steps with built-in storage lead you to the master loft. Cozy chairs and a small sofa fill the living space with a place to relax near the wood burning stove. You’ll even find a desk space and fold out dining table. For storage, there’s a basement space that can be accessed from outside that takes advantage of the space under the kitchen counter that otherwise would have gone to waste. “What makes a life rich and fulfilling has nothing to do with space,” says the homeowner. Would like to see the plans for this tiny house. Would also like to see the bathroom space. Looks good.

Yes, I hope they feature this house again in the future only in much greater detail (tenants allowing, of course.)

well done. I would like to know more about the construction details of the elevator, if there is a place where the info is accessible.

I’d like to see a people elevator (platform) for those who have trouble with knees and stairs. Remove the stairs for the space and replace it with a flat rectangle that would be stored overhead when not in use, but lowered when it’s time to retire. Why not? And for the safety conscious, have an upstairs skylight as a second exit in case of emergency.

Me, I’d just kill the loft and stairs, period. However, there are people powered elevators out there, one place I worked in early years had one. I haven’t researched them, I’d rather just not have a loft, but I’m sure there is info out there. Actually, shouldn’t be a biggie to just make one. If I did that, I’d just leave it down, not bother to raise it during the day.

Well, Theo, if someone didn’t want the loft to sleep in, they’d probably want it for storage. The reason I suggested raising it during the day would be to get it out of the way; off the floor; away from the foot traffic pattern. I should think a commercial elevator, such as Elevette are big and truly designed for foundation homes. But if you look at this doggie elevator in the video clip, something just a little larger could be built from scratch and still do the job.

Can’t see all the big deal about the storage areas. It only makes sense to make storage areas, so can’t see why people seem so surprised about it. And a dog in the loft? Sleeping in the bed? No, that won’t be happening with me.

The video didn’t show much. Would have love to have seen better views of the space. The whole kitchen, bathroom, living area.

I like this build for the excellent utilization of cubby spaces everywhere.
I’d like to have a catalog list of each and everyone with pics to build into my THOW. Great job, ladies. This is a very interesting THOW, indeed.

Who builds this tiny home and what is the cost of building this exact model? Thanks so much, Louise

Like others who have commented, I’d love to know the builder, and whether plans are available. Love the house, lots of storage, stairs to the loft, a light and airy feel and offers semblance of privacy in an open space.

I really like the look and feel of this tiny house. The fire place, the lofts, stairs, all of it. As others have said, I’d like to see more.
I have decided a long time ago I’d build an elevator platform in mine instead of stairs; but I’d keep a ladder tucked away for a backup. Since I’m an engineer and an alternative energy specialist I’d add a lot of tech goodies, like solar power, batteries.

Nice THOW. But I am with Theo, even though I love dogs, sorry, but they cannot sleep with me in my bed. She has her own bed.😉😀
