No mention of what makes this aerodynamic. No pictures that would give a hint either. Would like the title of article to be explained here, and then choose whether to go to website of builder.

I agree. Don’t bother looking on their site either because it only has the same pictures and no explanation.

They had this on TV, they put a stainless steel type cone on the entire front of the trailer where the trailer hitch is, pretty ingenious !

Which is precisely what I have been saying in previous posts, especially about the big flat front THes that are going to be towed on a regular basis. Small up front cost for big ongoing savings in fuel.

I understand why you don’t show any exterior shots to explain (visually) why this is aerodynamic, you just show the same pics as the manufacturer. But they don’t have any pics or explanation…or floor plans of any sort.
They must ONLY do custom builds. Never any plans done the same way twice.

Love the bedroom in this one!! Would be perfect if I were single, even being single I probably wouldn’t want eveyone being able to see my “bedroom” lol

Could always have a pull down blind to cover the (in my case anyway) disaster zone of the sleeping quarters. Cheap easy fix to the problem.

I was thinking something similar–a long planter w/ ivy/pothos/morning glories–a vine or climbing plant that would grow form the planter at the foot of the bed up a string “trellis”–adding greenery & some semblance of privacy without totally cutting off the open feeling. I would also do a slightly longer (maybe wider) trailer. But the basic concept is worth pondering.

    “Aerodynamic?” Really?

Nice way to mistitle an article, and mislead a reader!

    P.S.

The two exterior photos show that this “tiny house” isn’t “aerodynamic,” in the least!

Our bad, Larry, was not meaning to mislead you or anyone, that’s just what they named the house :/

…but, if one goes the the resources heading on the page and clicks on the bottom link there: Tiny House Town (via) one will see exactly “why” they call it the “aerodynamic”.

When we watched the program..this 100 sq foot tiny home cost 90,000

  • September 12, 2016, 10:07 pm

I love the rustic and yet polished look of this home. I do think it would have been helpful to show the front exterior to show why it’s aerodynamic, to help people visualize. But from a purely aesthetic viewpoint, it’s a lovely post.

I find this to be dark and unappealing. It’s certainly not practical for a full-time house (clothing storage? washer/dryer? microwave?). And like all THOWs, you still have no land and you’re still tied to a water supply. $90K is a steep price tag for what you’re not getting, but if you have that kind of large lying around gathering dust… well…

Its not meant to be a full time for the couple who own it. I might be remembering wrong, but I think they each own their own house in San Francisco, so they have the money. They just want to visit and travel in style.

Dark very dark and gloomy I would say… I don’t know if it is because of the day they had shot this house, it just was not a bright day, or is it like that all the time.. But for me I find it depressing…

Agree… reminds me of how homes used to be back in the 16th century… about the time I was a little kid… lqtm

Haha I find that dark woods and colors make me feel like curling up with a good book by a wood burning stove 🙂 Thus, snuggly.

Too dark for my taste. This looks more like a confirmed bachelor’s TH.

I have to agree with Zach. It does look dark, gloomy, and depressing to me. But to each his own.

They took “real” pictures, not ones enhanced by lights or lenses, so the brightness of the house won’t show as well, but with those large windows, I am sureit is not as gloomy as the pictures portray, though lighter walls and furniture would appeal to me more, too.

The exterior is very pretty, and I do love the kitchen and bath.
