Here’s another A-Frame inspired by Deek Diedricksen’s plans. Because of the hot weather in Missouri, they decided to frame in the expansion and it makes for some great extra space — very clever adaptation!
You can book your stay here on Airbnb. There’s a nearby bathroom cabin with enclosed outdoor showers and private toilet/sink areas, as well as an outdoor kitchen with gas and charcoal grills, a microwave and gas camp stove.
For an additional fee, you can rent a kid’s tepee tent and make it a family vacation (the a-frame holds a queen-sized bed). Want to build your own? Get the plans here!

Glamp in a Dierdricksen-inspired A-Frame on Hidden Pond!
Sink into the queen-sized bed at night.
The large windows provide lovely views.
Here’s a nice bedside table with fun lamps.
A sitting area with an off-grid cooler air conditioner (that they say really works!)
You’re nice and close to the river here.
The outdoor kitchen gives you plenty of cooking options.
Here’s the nearby bathhouse.
Private, frequently-disinfected bathrooms.
Highlights:
- Sleeps 2
- Right on hidden pond adjacent to Mississippi River
- Outdoor kitchen
- Bathhouse accommodations
- A-frame on wheels so they can move it
- Based on Deek’s 1200 Transforming A-Frame plans
- Located in St. Charles, close to St. Louis area

Looks great! I do like this design a lot better than the usual A frame head banger style. Seems a lot more open!
Yes that addition really helps!
This is cool. Has a bathroom!! Really cute and outside kitchen is a great idea.
Certainly a much bigger type construction that Deek was doing circa 2012ish.
Much more liveable too, to my thinking.
It’s nice that it’s close to the river
