A Frame Chalet on Wheels: Working & Traveling

This post contains affiliate links.

Sarah is a teacher, entrepreneur and traveler. First she established a successful online school, and then she hit the road in her A-Frame Chalet she’s been living in for the past 8 months. A couple hours of work in the morning, and then she has time to explore and enjoy the rest of her day!

I just love the A-Frame concept, even if it isn’t the *most* efficient use of vertical space. Plus, she can tow the super lightweight camper with her Subaru Forester, meaning she doesn’t always have to bring her whole home with her when she needs to go out for groceries.

She travels with her awesome dog, Sanders, and you’ll love her interview and video tour with Tiny Home Tours below. Follow her on Instagram here.

    No heat or bathroom?

This type of RV blurs the lines between outdoor tent camping and RV’ing. It’s basically a hard tent (there are other brands that offer soft pop up tents), top half folds down flat while traveling or storing it, with some RV features for a little better comfort and convenience on the go.

A propane furnace is usually standard in these models, so heat should be included, but only the largest model version of the Chalet has room for a wet bath. Though, most people just store a porta potti for emergency use.

I don’t think I have ever seen one of those RVs I like it. I also checked out her Instagram but there’s not much there. Although I do feel like I know her dog better 😊. I like seeing something different, thanks for finding it.

Ya I find that some people are heavy into social media and others just post a few highlights here and there. But being the nosy person I am I always want them to tell me more! haha.

Well that brings back memories. I use to own an A Liner of this model though under the bed was a 2 person hot tub and a portapotty from the factory .
Very smart such a lightweight trailer with low air drag so the mileage hit isn’t bad with the roof folded and a pop up that doesn’t use fabric sides.
She’s got a nice low cost life that lets her do whatever she wants is true freedom. Way to go!

Woah a hottub!? Now that’s a neat feature I’ve never seen in an RV.

Would live to know more information on how you shower, toilet facilities, wash and dry dishes, heat and air for when it is really cold or hot out, what you cook, how you wash uYour clothes, etc.
