Remember Hope and Manny who built two micro bike trailers for homeless people? Well, here’s a look at their personal van conversion! They spent about two months converting a former Amazon van into an awesome little home. Before this, they lived in a bus conversion.
They have a bench that converts into a child bed, a dinette that becomes a queen bed at night, an outdoor shower, and an indoor urine-diverting toilet hidden under a cabinet. Enjoy the full tour below!

In Toledo, Ohio, a small village is making a big impact on its community. Bluff Street Village, a project initiated by the Monroe Street Neighborhood Center, has recently welcomed six new tiny homes into its fold. These compact dwellings, spanning only 400 square feet each, may be small in size, but they bring about significant positive changes for the neighborhood. Let’s delve into the story behind Bluff Street Village and its mission to create a transformative living experience.
For years, the organizers of Bluff Street Village pondered over the possibilities for their neighborhood. They sought ways to revitalize the area and foster a sense of pride among residents. In 2020, they embarked on a groundbreaking journey, and the result was the construction of six charming tiny homes just off Bluff Street in Rosedale. Spearheaded by Pastor Larry Clark, the project aims to provide affordable housing and turn individuals into first-time homeowners in approximately seven years, all for around $400 per month.

This tiny home was built as a family project by a father and his three sons. The floor plan and design were created by mom. They call it the “Nordic” and have named their company Craftsman Tiny Homes.
I’m proud of my 3 sons: 20, 22, & 23 years old who have been in the building industry since they were each 3 years old. They were home schooled and brought out to every job site we engaged in.
The two-loft tiny home is for sale for $95,000 in Newberry, Florida.

When Mike’s work went remote, he found himself isolated and struggling with his mental health. Since he didn’t need his city apartment, he decided traveling was a better option. At first, he just lived in his vehicle, but then he upgraded to a bus conversion. Eventually, he wanted to use all he learned from build #1 to create the “perfect” second build.
And this bus build is pretty flawless! He has a cozy back bedroom that’s his safe place, a great workstation with a monitor near his dinette, and a spacious kitchen with an overhead skylight. He built the bus with his friend Steve and the two did a great job!
