Back in 2018, Jasper had two choices: Van Life or Homelessness. He managed to find a box truck and outfit it to make it a home, but as soon as he got back on his feet he returned to “sticks and bricks.” That’s when he found himself quite unhappy and decided to revamp his box truck and make it an awesome condo on wheels.

Since this video aired, Jasper and his partner actually purchased a fifth wheel RV since they’re expecting a baby! Pretty cool that he’s still enjoying a nomadic life even as their family is growing. Still, his box truck conversion was (is) really neat and even included a full PC gaming area.

The Swifts were paying $2,000/month for their condo in San Diego, but when Heather and Michael decided they wanted to have more time with their son and be able to home school, Heather decided to quit her $60K/year job. This meant something had to give!

Heather’s parents lived outside of the city, near her brother, and offered to allow them to park on their property. So the couple sold just about everything, bought a new 5th wheel RV, and moved! Now they have far more family time (including time with cousins!), are paying down debt quickly, and enjoying minimalism.

Their RV features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living area/kitchen. While they didn’t do a full reno on the place, they’ve truly made the place their home. We had the pleasure of interviewing the couple, which you can read below the photo tour! Follow their tiny life on Instagram here.

Right now I’m showing you a modern multi-functional tiny studio condo in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

When you walk in the bathroom is directly to your left followed by the kitchen and the open living room that leads you to the bedroom.

It’s all one modern and beautiful open space. There’s a sliding door that encloses the bedroom for privacy. How do you like this tiny condo design?

John and Anne got quite a bit done with their mobile condo this weekend. They put up the framework for their bed loft and bolted down their composting toilet.

If you don’t know them, they are building an awesome fully featured house inside of a box truck to live and travel in.

They are planning on having just about everything you can think of…

  • Full sized shower
  • Piano
  • Water system
  • Kitchen
  • Couch
  • Plenty of storage
  • Washer and dryer

And much more… What I really love about John and Anne is that they’ve decided what it is that they NEED and they are just doing it themselves.

I can’t wait to see their finished project, it’s one of my favorites to follow. So take a look at these pictures and then be sure to visit their blog and say hello!

So here’s their truck…

Emily was inspired by what she read in magazines about living off-grid on her own raw land and reducing her carbon footprint. She ended up buying a shipping container before she even purchased land in Maine to put it on. Thankfully it all worked out and she found her perfect spot.

For the past decade, it’s been her mission to transform that container (and the 3 additional ones she has purchased since) into a fully off-grid and sustainable home for herself. The last couple of years have enabled her to take what was a weekend project and turn it into her full-time focus, and now she has such a tremendous spot. Be sure to read her interview with us after the photo tour!

Earlier we shared Jasper’s awesome box truck conversion that he lived in on and off for about four years. At the start of 2022, he made a major life shift and purchased a fifth wheel (brand new!) which he is living in with his girlfriend, two dogs, and soon-to-be baby!

Even though their fifth wheel is obviously mobile, the couple is putting down roots on Vancouver Island and staying put for now. He is a super cool content creator and I think you’ll enjoy checking out his new digs.

Hillary raised her three children on her own since they were 6, 4 and 2, and while her job in law enforcement provided for them, it was never enough for Hillary to save for retirement. Once her kids were grown and out of the house, she chose tiny living so she could retire comfortably!

She was able to pay cash for her THOW and has no mortgage — only the monthly land rental fee she pays to her landlords. Her two older animals — a dog and cat — live with her and enjoy her fenced-in yard. And she calls it “cheating,” but Hillary also has a shed on the property for her seasonal clothes, a deep-freezer and extra pantry goods.
