Welcome to the Round House, a unique tiny house nestled in the charming locale of Delta, Colorado. What used to be a grain silo has been transformed into a luxurious, fully-equipped tiny home that offers a gateway to the Western Slope of Colorado.

As you step into the Round House, you instantly feel at home. The living area, complete with a comfortable couch, a small table with chairs, a TV, and a radio with a CD player, welcomes you into its warm embrace. However, the true magic of the house lies in its unconventional design.

Jack’s ultimate goal is to have a fully off-grid and self-sustaining homestead, while living in his tiny house. And he has the tiny house part all finished! It took him three years and $22,000, but the result is an adorable THOW with a stand-up loft bedroom.

He has an instant hot water heater, deep farm sink, mini woodstove and a sleek shed-style roof which he felt had a modern look. His description of the beetle kill pine on the inside of his THOW is definitely worth watching the video tour below!

The Dekker family (@thedekkertrekkers) loved spending months at a time traveling in their pop-up camper, so they decided to bite the bullet and get a larger RV to travel in full-time. After six months on the road, they ended up finding an adorable tiny cabin in Colorado to fix up and act as their home base.

Right now they’re renovating the cabin so they can winter there and then head out in their RV during the warmer months. Honestly, it’s the best of both worlds! They can rent it as an Airbnb to help offset the costs of full-time travel. I can’t wait to see what the cabin looks like when it’s done, but for now enjoy pictures of their RV renovation.

Also, there’s a Q&A with them at the end of the post you won’t want to miss.

Here’s an awesome vacation property in Colorado Springs, just minutes from the “Garden of the Gods” and downtown. Dubbed the “Chicken Coop” because there used to be a coop on the property, this fully-renovated cabin looks nothing like a home for poultry!

Grand vaulted ceilings with skylights make the small space feel especially open. The bed is the main feature of the space, but a built-in corner dinette and a mini kitchen line the sidewall. There’s also a three-quarter bathroom with a tiled shower.

I don’t know what it is about round homes, but I adore them! This particular octagonal structure was inspired by a triad of home designs: the Mongolian yurt, Navajo hogons and Native American hidatsa lodges. The result is a perfect vacation spot in Colorado dubbed the “Solargon.”

The interior has a studio-style setup, complete with a leather sofa, comfortable queen bed, and functional kitchenette. Then there’s a separate bathroom complete with a shower stall with “barnwood” tile.

But you really can’t beat the location — tucked in a corner of 40 private acres which abuts BLM land on two sides with mountain views. Book your stay here.

There’s also a kitchenette, outhouse, and shared shower house. Solar power will keep your phones charged and the lights on, but they provide lanterns and a flashlight just in case.
