Eric and Marissa always wanted to travel, but their non-remote jobs were holding them back. Once the couple figured out ways to manage a couple of Airbnbs and a rental van, they found the freedom to enjoy life on the road!

Their camper sits on top of a flatbed truck and has all kinds of amenities, like a wet bath (with a NatureÅ› Head composting toilet), a fixed queen bed over the cab, and an awesome little kitchen that makes it easy to cook great meals. Enjoy the tour!

This family spent three years seeking a diagnosis for their oldest daughter’s illness, and another two years trying treatments for her. When she finally got the all-clear, the parents realized the go-go-go of modern suburban life was so empty. They decided to buy a camper just to spend one month traveling — but once they tasted the alternative life, they couldn’t go back.

They upgraded their camper after a while to this 37-foot fifth wheel which provides a bunk room for the kids, a spacious bathroom, and kitchen with full-size appliances. For now, the family has no plans of ever settling down again!

Megan and Rob are a pair of adventure seekers who are working hard to create the life of their dreams. The couple bought a 1979 Cal 31 sailboat in April 2015 up in Juneau, Alaska and they’ve been living on it ever since.

They’ve added a wood burning stove in the living room and extra insulation in the v-berth to stay warm in the winters, and they’ve also installed flexible solar panels and a small wind turbine to produce their own electricity.

I’d like to introduce you to Heather and Dana of HD Adventuring. They converted a travel trailer into a tiny home. Here is their story.

HD Adventuring is the story of two New Englanders who made the trek out to the Golden Coast. We met in college, and a few months after graduation, we decided California was calling our names.

To get here, we packed all of our things into a single station wagon and got rid of the rest. We spent a month road tripping all over the country.

After that month of living with only a couple of bags full of stuff, we realized that all we needed fit into that small car.

We decided that we wanted to live tiny, so we purchased a camper, and are converting it into a tiny house.

Please enjoy, learn more and re-share below. Thank you!

This is Will Hitchcock and Alyssa Pelletier’s custom DIY school bus motorhome who bought the bus for $5,500 and immediately did $2,000 in repairs and maintenance to prepare it for the conversion, according to this article on Houzz.

In total, the couple spent about $30,000 renovating it because they had to strip everything out, add insulation, electric, plumbing, framing, and more (as you’ll see below). Today Will and Alyssa run their business from their school bus conversion while they travel. Pretty inspiring, isn’t it? Please enjoy, learn more and re-share below. Thank you!

David Welsford let go of most of his belongings, bought a sailboat and started living in it adventurously while traveling the world with it. “For me more important than having a big house is having a space that makes me feel good,” says David.

It’s a 28′ sailboat that’s around 50 years old that he restored himself. He takes soap showers on the boat and jumps into the salt water to rinse off. You can see him doing his dishes below. Please enjoy and re-share this inspiring sailboat living story (and watch the video) below. Thank you.

Roman & Ioana are based in Switzerland, and they love the freedom that living and working on the road provides them. They purchased a 1990 Volkswagen van that had been converted and did some major renovations to make it work for modern full-time vanlife.

They tow along a storage trailer which allows them to keep all their gear and bikes safely stored away and keeps the van itself more open. The fiberglass roof lets them have a bed that’s out of the way from the living area, and they added a bathroom to the back of the van. We had the opportunity to interview them, and you can read their story below!

There aren’t many professionally built tiny houses on the market today for under $25,000, making it tough for many people to get a tiny house unless they can DIY one. But Dragon Tiny Homes recently released their “Element” model, and for a limited time, you can purchase the 16-foot tiny home for just $23,500.

The house doesn’t come with many bells and whistles at the base price, but you can pay for upgrades or make your own over time. Plywood walls are easy to paint, it’s plumbed with a sink, toilet, and shower stall, and this one even has hook-ups for laundry. A loft bedroom with a sturdy ladder provides a sleeping space, and there’s a small area for a love seat or recliner on the main level. What do you think of this option?

Now, this is an inspirational van life story! Caleigh was born with cystic fibrosis, a medical condition that attacks the lungs. She spent the majority of her childhood and adult life seriously ill, and in and out of the hospital. After not one, but two double lung transplants, she was finally well enough to enjoy life but was stuck at home due to travel bans.

After giving van life a trial run to escape the pollution from California wildfires, she and her husband Brian decided to do van life full-time! With the full support of their families and her medical team, they were able to create a rig and a lifestyle that supports Caleigh’s medical needs and allows her to live life to the fullest.
