Cute, but not a craftsman home at all.

Cute little home. Not sure how it fits into tiny. Nice place for a single person or couple.

This is a delightful tiny home. Yes, it’s not micro, but tiny as in small. It looks beautiful. Would love to live in it. I love what’s available in the back yard. Awesome gardening. Thanks for sharing.

I think they mean it was sold through Sears as a kit. If you Google Sears Craftsman house you will see there were a lot of different kits. They were sold and assembled all over the U.S.

this is not a Sears house. Sears was no longer selling house kits during and immediately after WW2. Also the flippers who removed the solid wood kitchen cabinet doors deserve a spanking. However the doors could be replaced. I believe this is somewhat overpriced… but I could be wrong.

Too big and Too average. Major plus it’s all on one level.

Not sure if it is a Craftsman or not and that doesn’t really matter. What is important is that it is a beautiful small home with great decor that anyone would be proud to have. I am not familiar with the housing market in the area but one of my very good friends live near and there are many foreclosures so it might be difficult to get the price they are asking. Anyway thanks for sharing. There are good ideas here for anyone wanting to go small instead if tiny.

Looks very nicely done! Like the size and the outbuildings as well however the black appliances are ugly. Also in the kitchen I like the wall cabinets to have doors so I can conceal what’s in them — nobody really needs to see if I eat Campbells or Progresso soup!

I agree with Mike, this home is 3 times the size of tiny houses you have profiled in the beginning.

That’s why it’s called a ‘small’ home–for those of you who only wish to see homes so tiny you step into the toilet when you get out of bed, I suggest instead of b**ching about the homes you see in this newsletter, start your own damn rag!

690 sq. ft. is small enough for me, and I LOVE the outbuildings that come with this property! Too bad it’s across the country from me?

Hi. This is my first ever comment, although I have been a “looker” for a long time. What I don’t understand is why there are so many negative comments regarding the relative sizes of these little houses. I thought the tiny house movement was about looking for ways to reduce one’s “footprint” and get away from the McMansion mortgage trap. I live in a cottage I renovated from a garage/outbuilding in the backyard of the house I bought a few years ago. My daughter and her family of five rent the “big” house from me. It is about 980 sq. ft. My cottage is 480 sq. ft. or so. Both of our houses seem pretty small to me. Of course, they are not on wheels, and they are not tiny. But many of the storage ideas presented in the micro and tiny houses I see here have been invaluable to me. I originally downsized into the 980 sq. ft. from a five bedroom three bath house! I am the mom of three, which means I am the memory-keeper until they all have house of their own, so I have to keep stuff. Sorry for the rant, but I really enjoy the newsletter, and I wish we could all encourage each other in going smaller, even if we can’t go micro.

Wow! All the critical comments! It is a very pretty small house and I don’t know what the housing market is like in Olympia WA, but the price might be consistent with the market there at this time. I would hate for all the critical commenters to come into my small house and start telling me what all is wrong with it. Geeesh!

Oh, yeah! Nice little house, great yard and out buildings. I’d take one like this in a heartbeat.
