This is a 592 sq. ft. modern apartment with eight beds located in the ski resort of Les Menuires in the French Alps.

The apartment was designed to fit the furniture instead of the other way around. And if you’ve ever wondered what tiny living might look like today for a big family, this is a great example.

Inside you’ll find there’s plenty of space for the entire family to sleep comfortably plus there’s a kitchen, living space and bathroom.

Please enjoy, learn more and re-share below. Thank you!

      Hahahaha. That was my thought exactly when I saw this. That little old curtain in the middle isn’t going to block any sound. I wonder where the adults have any privacy?

    @Zachary E. Mohrmann on Facebook

    Look at the top of the page… it’s about micro, it’s about Tiny and it’s about small. And small is where this apartment fits. Not necessarily the smallest apartment by any means, but still a lot smaller than most homes.

    That… is why it is featured here… besides it is Alex’s site and he is free to post whatever he wants. If he wanted he could show pictures of dinosaurs made out of PlayDo! If he wanted. But, I’d put money on it that he doesn’t.

    I have seen a few ski chalets/Apartments featured in holiday or property programmes. Quite a few have bedrooms with bunks for lots of people. It’s about getting maximum rental from the chalet/apartment. At least this one is modern, rather than the all over pine look of some. It would probably work for 2 families with young-ish children for a week’s skiing. Everyone is tired at the end of a day skiing, so eats (here or at a restaurant, then goes to sleep so they can get up and do the same thing the next day! I can’t imaging 8 people actually living here full time. But that’s not what it is designed for.
    NB. I have never been skiing – dodgy knee and wrong social class, but I have spoken to people who think skiing is fun and do this sort of holiday ?

    Sure a good looking space for a ski season rental, but if living
    full-time, where would one store all the stuff one needs for kids???

    I like this and I like seeing many different kinds of dwellings on this site, not just tiny and inexpensive. All ideas are useful. People have varying needs. Thank you Andrea and Alex.

    I disagree with Butler. These small apts may not be his idea of Tiny Houses, but they are very small living quarters. I enjoy getting ideas from all tiny homes that are presented here.

    The “modular” design gives this apartment a unique look. I like the curvature of the sleeping cubicles. If it were my permanent residence I’d have to trim out the windows and doors and add crown molding.

    Can someone please point out the other four beds? It says a chalet with 8 beds; I only see four!
