570 Sq. Ft. British Columbia Small Foundation Home Plans

These are the plans to the 570 sq. ft. British Columbia small foundation home. It’s designed by Robinson Residential, and if you are looking for something to put on land, this home might be it!

The British Columbia-570 small home plan pays tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright’s contribution to residential architecture. His idea that one should “Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature….” is echoed by this beautiful province. His Usonian homes were designed to be affordable and comfortable using simple materials and construction featuring walls of doors and windows, built-in furnishings and cabinets. The large stone fireplace is the heart of this small home which features:

Large living room and dining room with bands of horizontal windows, wood beams and vaulted ceilings
Exterior doors from the kitchen, dining room and bedroom
1 bedroom, 1 bath

Check out the pictures below and follow the link to purchase the plans. Enjoy!

Very nice micro house and well thought floor plan. The only thing missing is a carport.

For me a micro house would need to have a 5 car garage. small house is great but a very large shop and large yard would be the high demand.

Tom, I agree with you 100% especially because small homes lack of storage for tools, small machines and spares.

My front will face the back so all water runs off to the street & will be 32′ x 24′ appx….and open up with panoramic doors all the way across the back facing East for the morning sun. Eliminate halls & build a barn door closet with bunk beds and another closet for an office…. Attach the oversize 1 car garage to the front or off on the side depending on plumbing for kitchen and bath. Think I will put a small fireplace cuz in southern FL I am not worried about a heater….with an efficient ductless wall mounted a/c system.

Maybe a small sleeping loft over the living/dining area for extra guests?! Looks like a great design for me in the mountains of Colorado.

Would love plans for 2 bedroom one bath. We here are trying to create affordable homes for low income. Maybe a village like arrangement and a grant to get it done.
