He built a stealth tiny house for less than $4k!

This is the story of how one man designed and built a stealth tiny house on a trailer for only $4,000. He started with a 6×10 cargo utility trailer which he outfitted to function as a micro home/camper that you can tow with almost any vehicle.

And yes… He did it all for less than $4,000 USD including the price of the trailer. From the outside, you would think it’s just some sort of work trailer, right? But when you step inside, you’ll find a living area, kitchenette, bed, and more. Would you ever consider building your own micro camper like this? What would you do it with it? Where would you go? What would you go see?

I did mine as cheap as I could. It looks like a box with one door. On your do the double door lock from the inside? I have made 5 TH so far they are most shell because I like to break them down and change with other TH of mine. Bow roof, slant roof, flat roof still have not pick one style. Bow roof I can put my small boat on top. I made rails that can be pull out to put boat in water. Flat roof can sit on top to watch the sun go down. Slant roof good for solar panels that is about it.

I wonder what he does for a head.

I imagine he does what lots of folks do.
I have a friend with a stealth THOW inside a small school bus. She ends each day at a 24/7 convenience store where she buys her supper and uses the bathroom as needed.
During the course of the day, she stops by the gym where she has a membership and grabs a shower.

Pretty nice setup, especially like wall of windows and door at the end.

Its awesome. I like the glass in the back which can be closed and it appears as a cargo trailer. However on this size there is no space for a bathroom which is essential for me.

Stealthy with Style! Who needs a stinkin bathroom when there are restrooms in public places, bucket showers, and chamber pots!

Surprisingly cozy! The interior feels like a backwoods fishing cabin.

I’m sure there’s room for a Luggable Loo or sani potti type setup tucked away in there. Doesn’t look like he has any kind of sink though?

Good job – definitely one of the better looking of the repurposed cargo trailers. Maybe a moon roof to see the stars at night?

If there’s no pooper it’s not a home! Where do ya go? Cute though!

I must say that Jack’s little trailer is very cool. I was lucky and got to stay a night in it when I was visiting. Very comfortable! And real men don’t need running water. We bath in anything and God gave us the earth to do our business in. Great job Jack!!!

Great conversion. I’m beginning the search for the right trailer to convert and live in full time and this gives me many great ideas to incorporate. If I was going to build and live in one by myself there is zero chance I would include a bathroom. But because I’m married and because my wife cannot imagine a life without a bathroom I will incorporate one for her comfort and ease. But I see no good reason to have one myself. I feel it’s a waste of great space and with public restrooms and the ability to shower elsewhere plus keep very clean without one. But too each their own.

Nice job! If you get the cargo trailer with the rear ramp that can be used for a porch and covers your entrance wall when not in use.

A bucket sawdust toilet is good for emergency use if you are away from a campground facilities.

I love the design. But I’m far too claustrophobic for the stealth idea! I need windows. I love the size and price point. Of course, a couple of windows will increase that a little bit! I’m curious what something like this weighed in at?
