40-Ft. Container Turned Modern Cabin in Australia

This post contains affiliate links.

This is a modern cabin located in Rakula, Australia. It’s a 40-foot shipping container that’s been converted into this lovely cabin that you see here and it’s available to book via Glamping Hub.

The home features a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with floor to ceiling windows, an open deck, and spectacular views of nature. Wouldn’t it be cool to design/build something like this for yourself on your own land? I think so!

    Thank you

Absolutely the best container home I have seen! I would love to see more shots during construction and info on how to accomplish this project.

I have looked at TinyHouseTalk for years and this is the most beautiful container house I have ever seen. Congratulations to Roger on a job well done! We recently spent a week in Darwin and would have loved to stay at this wonderful home.
With all that is going on in the world right now, this plan is outstanding to accommodate those who may need a smaller yet outstanding floor plan. If you could send any additional information regarding this home I would be most appreciative. I could see an entire development of this style home. Please let me know how I can help to make that dream a reality.
      My Best to you, Tom

I have always admired the tiny homes made from shipping containers. This one is over the top in design and style. My question is, in areas where there is a need for insulation why aren’t people using more refrigerator type containers? Most use closed-cell foam insulation. This would save time and money, I would think. So far I have seen only one article where someone used that type of container. Are they less cost-effective or are the number available very limited? What am I overlooking?

Totally agree with all the comments. Absolutely stunning. If we have managed to receive the floor plans, can I get a copy please? What is in the space between the two containers? would have been nice to get a photo from the back side of containers. thanks
