Nicely balanced interior. Like the planning as well. Though I have always wondered how one could make those expanding parts without getting some sort of problem with moisture along the edge.

RV manufacturers have done pretty well over the decades, but it is still going to need to be upgraded for a permanent home…I have seen one remodel i liked where the owner had a ROOF FLAP that hung down to cover a window when mobile, but gave a more secure ceiling for the slide.

        July 8, 2018, 1:30 am

That’s similar to this… If you look carefully, you can see that the roof sections for the slides are not part of the slides…

Perfect home for me and my cat. I am sure this unit as shown would be uber expensive and far beyond my means financially.

Their site doesn’t say anything about this specific model, but the base price for a 34′ house (this one is 36′) is $73,000 CAD or ~$55,800 USD. What with the slide-outs and high end appliances, it wouldn’t surprise me to see a $75,000 USD price tag on this one.

Wow, a really spacious THOW. Slides are really the way to go when you would like to stay within street legal limits and looking for some more interior width. However, slides needs to be well designed and build to avoid problems.
I like floor plan and design. They offer steel framing for weight saving, too. Beside that full customization is a big plus to get the home you want.

I love this, it is almost what I am looking for If they would add a third bdrm it would be it. Lamon Luther has a bedroom/loft over the kitchen in his Norma jean models that still leave privacy in the downstairs bedrm, if you did that here by shortening the upper cabinets, you could put a large loft there and have a 3 bdrm for families, however families need a more economical version less high end finishes option would be great for those on budgets. Also does not mention if solar options is available, i would like an incenerating toilet. Guess i should check out there website, lol, other than that , love it its my dream,

    • James D.
      July 8, 2018, 1:35 am

They don’t do solar installations but they can install the conduits and basically have it ready for solar… While they leave appliances up to their clients and will basically do anything they want within reason…

Kind of love this one. Downstairs bedroom. Bathroom not next to the kitchen. Good kitchen design and the bump outs help give much more space inside. Great job!

I really like this unit, but I would rather have a bathtub/shower instead of the shower by its self and a regular flush toilet. With the high ceiling in the bedroom (which costs more to heat/cool) I would put in a small storage space above with an attic ladder to access. Also, I saw no way to heat/cool the unit. Don’t know if this was intentional or not. Otherwise, I think it’s a really nice unit and would consider getting one.

    • James D.
      July 9, 2018, 2:42 am

That is a regular flush toilet in this one… There’s wall heating units, this is up in Canada so they’re usually more concerned with heating than cooling…

But everything is a matter of choice because they’re a custom builder…

This home is fantastic! It’s the one I like to have for my regular home. Then a smaller one for travel… Maybe a 20′ one for that! Beautiful job!

there’s nothing tiny about this monstrosity. you can’t pick up and move with something this size. obviously you would need to own property to put this on. it makes far more sense to just build a house rather than something on wheels.
no two people need this much space. it just looks like a waste.

    • James D.
      July 10, 2018, 2:35 am

Nope, the point of slide outs is to allow it to remain road legal and thus still easily movable.

This can actually be towed by a 1 ton truck. Besides, there’s much bigger things being towed all the time on the highways…

While not everyone needs the same amount of space or use the space in the same way… Besides, this can sleep six so it can be an option for a family and not just two people…

    • S
      January 19, 2020, 5:03 pm

Given it has two bedrooms why would you assume it’s for two and not a family of four?

And why would you sound so bitter over people living in 348sqft? Calling it a monstrosity removes your credibility.

Kevin – I’m guessing it’s footprint is about 400 sf and while that’s on the large size for a tiny home, it’s not a large home by any means. There are some people like me that want to downsize from their 1800 sf home and this seems like a great size to me. I’d use the upstairs loft for storage only with a sleep sofa in the livingroom as my friends and I are past the climbing into loft stage of our lives 🙂 What I like most about this unit… I can still entertain more that 2 other people in the wintertime 🙂 Great use of space! Well done!

When I look at these slide out types, my concern is water leaking and keeping warm. I can only assume these homes are only meant for warmer climates. And can be hard to keep warm and toasty in the winter. My tiny house will be located in an area where winters can be brutal. Luckily precipitation is extremely limited during the warmer months. I don’t plan on moving it around but the thought of being able to is very enticing. The design of this house is great. The staging is also done well. I love the look of it. And the length is perfect. I’d like to see more of the larger tiny homes since moving it won’t really be an issue.

Re the combo washer dryer units, once your learn the ins and outs of the programming you can have the temp you want. This means you may be doing your jeans on perm/press w/low heat or something else on delicate, with heat settings down and a longer drying cycle. Having a combo would add a folding space, counter top and wall access. You could rack your detergent, supplies, and even a small ironing board and iron on the found wall. Just a thought.

The first floor bedroom has floor to ceiling cabinets/wardrobes on the wall at the foot of the bed, next to the small vertical window and plant on the floor. They’re hard to see in this photo, and I wish there was a better pic, even a floor plan, but the closets are there!

    June 21, 2019, 7:49 pm

This is by far the most beautiful livable tiny home I’ve seen and boy have I looked. A first floor bedroom (so that you dont need to be AntMan sized and wish you had memory foam knees to make a loft bed) a beautiful kitchen, a real couch, a closet for the size of people who have a tiny home and aren’t home-less and happen to own more than 2 t-shirts and a pair of Chacos, a gorgeous bathroom and a washer and dryer. I’m absolutely enamored with this layout and the fact that it has all those slide outs and is on wheels. It’s pure genius. I travel every few months for volunteer work and wish I could afford this beautiful home.

    June 22, 2019, 2:58 pm

Perfection! Wide enough to not feel claustrophobic with the bump outs, ground floor bedroom with high ceilings! The loft would be great for storage and grandchildren visits. We have 2 medium sized dogs so I always think about them laying about with the added width this one is absolutely livable and I love all the natural light!

Beautiful THOW. One major point for me is the real sofa. Benches with foam cushions do not a living room make.

    • Alex
      June 28, 2019, 10:29 am

I agree, Margaret. I once rented a tiny house for vacation that had the bench and cushion set up, and it was very uncomfortable and hard to relax. I would have rather it just been open space and sit on the floor with yoga mats and blocks! LOL! But since then, they actually added a sofa to this particular unit to make it better. I guess lots of people feel that way.

    Beautiful.
I’d love to see some kind of sliding screen option for the front door…keep mosquitoes out, cat/dog in. And a ceiling fan in the main room. Plus options to close out so much light. (I live in FL…light = HEAT.) Other than that, I absolutely LOVE IT.

My 1st comment on TH. First let me say I love this one. Pullouts on a THOW to me would mean no claustrophobia. I love the tv stand in the LR. I love that the bathroom is Not next to the kitchen. But even if you don’t care for the design you can’t help but love their view no matter where you look at. Of course when I can get my TH I certainly couldn’t afford this. Y’all are very blessed to have a home and land that most of us can only dream of. Enjoy the peace that should come with this.

Thanks for your first comment, Mary! I love it too. I really like the bedroom too with the slideout. Looks like king sized bed and there seems to be closet space too. This is a really amazing tiny house to live in full-time.

Would it be possible to find out the price of this model? I don’t see the slideouts on the manufacturer’s websites. Obviously with a custom build, we’ll each have some preferences and variances, but it would be nice to know at least the price range of this model as a baseline. Thank you. btw…LOVE IT!!

    It’s a lovely home.
Every time I see it, I wonder what that tall brown piece of furniture is in the living room across from the couch. It has skinny legs and a big fat box, but I cannot for the life of me understand what it is/does. Any ideas? Thank you.

It’s a type of room divider, there’s a variety of them with different country and historic based styles… Basically, a functional wall system you can put anywhere to create space separation without an actual wall and place shelves, cabinets, folding tables, etc.

In this case it’s a basic version mounted against a wall and it’s height adjustable with pins, similar to adjustable shelf. So you can set up the cabinet with the fold out table to be like a standing office cubicle or lower it for use with a chair or set it up as a liquor bar, craft table, etc… It’s flexible use…

Love the slide outs. That extra footage makes a world of difference. The only reason I have not switched from an RV to a THOW is the lack of slide outs. THOW have come a long way!

    • James D.
      July 6, 2021, 1:42 am

Slide outs are not new for THOWs, just not as practical or cost effective for THOWs as they are for RV’s. So they’re not done as often but it has always been an option. The one in this article is an example as Mint Tiny Homes is a custom builder and anything the client wants is usually what a custom builder will do… While there’s other builders that do slide outs fairly regularly as they cater more to the hybrid RV/THOW usage, like…

ZeroSquared Tiny Homes (Calgary, AB) and Tiny Idahomes LLC (Caldwell, ID) are two such examples… People have also DIY’ed their own slide out options or opted for alternatives like fold outs or slide ups, with a few doing both slide outs and slide ups, but those tend to be extremely expensive…

Alternatively, people have also just combined multiple THOWs to form a single larger structure. While simply going wider works for those who don’t need to move it often and can be the superior option for getting even more space and better cost effectiveness…

There’s just always trade offs regardless of choice but lots of options to choose from has always been the case, especially with anything custom built…

The most perfect home for two! I really like having my bedroom on the main floor. Both my husband and I are retired and hoping to move out of our apartment into something the size of my fifth-wheel which I sold before we got married, then the Covid came on. It had three slid outs and they were great. Please send me approximate cost to purchase for Prescott AZ. Thank you.
