The scenic railing is a custom aluminum art piece from a Vancouver artist, Wroughten Art…

I like this tiny house. And I love the “artistic railing” that allowed air to circulate in the upper bedroom. Now, I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea….but I love the white. I would have preferred a light stained wood, because the “dark” is so defining. But a ” white” psychologically enlarges a room. I will never forget when my favorite yellow-cream colored restaurant was painted white, and what a huge difference it made. Who knew going from a cream yellow inside would make such a huge difference, in make the space feel bigger ?

A beautifully laid out plan. Encompasses every thing necessary for comfortablle living. However, it would add perspective to know price and, considering size, weight. All featured THOWS should add a dry weight. I’m guessing this THOW would require a dually f350 at least. So add in 75-80 thousand for the tow vehicle.

I agree that most should include more information on the specs of the home but something to keep in mind is that most people never move their tiny house more than 1-3 times for the life of the home.

So, unless you’re one of the few who really need to be able to move on a moments notice or will be moving it a lot then you may only need to rent a truck or hire a moving company… The later having the benefit of having a pro driver do the move and backed by insurance to cover any potential damage during the move.

If the home is less than 10,000 lbs then you can even just rent a Uhaul truck… Tiny House Expedition, for example, uses that option when they need to move.

So owning the tow vehicle, and dealing with all the extra costs it’ll involve, is usually optional for most people…

Are there any tiny house builders that will give a free estimate on building a tiny house. I have my plans but I would like to know how much I would have to pay someone to build it my way.

Yes, some of them can give you a free quote, but some of them might charge a small fee for the time to do that. You can see a list of builders that we keep right here: https://tinyhousetalk.com/tiny-house-builders

Hi Eunice, I’m with Rewild Homes, the company that built this home. We do free estimates! Feel free to send us an email with your plans or check out the free quote builder form on our website for an estimate 🙂

The light/fans are amazing. At first, I was thinking this would look industrial but it doesn’t. I love the white, you can use any color decorations to make it yours. The layout gives you room for everything, I personally don’t care for lofts but this one looks to access and looks very roomy. I would definitely give this a 10,

What would really be ‘impressive’ is a little toilet room (and door) on one side and a large bath and showroom (another door) on the other, separated by an open counter wash basin area … does wonders for relationships in busy mornings … oh, and a toilet that washes your bum …

I love the idea of a separate toilet room 🙂

And the bidet, too, not sure why but they’re not very common in the United States.

Many of the homes shown are beautiful and well laid out, but why is it that to me one of the greatest things that is never shown is the actual weight of the home. Many times you see length, height, and width, but very rarely the weight. The real tiny weigh what, the mid size weight what and this 5 wheel goose neck weighs what. From a towing stand point, I would really like to know.
If it is going into a community, or a legal private piece of land where it is going to be parked forever, who cares. But if it is something that is going to travel maybe six times a year it makes a difference.

Most of the time it’s just not listed on the websites. If it is, we tend to include it. I think builders are much more likely to post the information than people showing off their own homes (since no one but themselves are going to be towing it anywhere).
