Nice layout but there doesn’t seem to be much storage for food/cleaning items, I am keen on downsizing more than I already have but you really do need kitchen storage and this looks to need more. Also whilst I like the idea of a downstairs bed, and a Murphy bed is good for this, why is it so low to the floor. It is easy to have a Murphy bed up a bit higher than this, most of the ones I have seen are a decent height, but for me this is unusable. Good use of space but it seems a Shane to have all that empty space at the end during the day while being unable to use it because of having to clear it to use the bed at night.

Well, that’s the problem with most Murphy beds–you have to clear space for them, and then fuss with tucking them away every morning. But you could have some lightweight furniture on wheels that could be rolled closer to the kitchen at night time. If you want to sleep downstairs, and don’t want a super-long trailer, you have to make concessions somewhere. I have seen Murphy beds advertised that fold down over an attached sofa, so you don’t have to shift furniture. And there are some that fold down over a desk, but the desk lowers in the process, so you don’t have to move things off the desk! You can get almost anything, if you are willing to pay for it, or come up with your own invention.

Seriously? The list of features plainly states that there is a 10 cu.ft. fridge/freezer, but for the life of me, I can’t find it – unless it’s that teeny, tiny little dorm-size white thing at the bottom of the wall. Did I just miss it?

Look at the second photo. It is right next to the stove.

You all love to torture me. Love this one too! Now change plans again. Hubby will go nuts. I do love this and the other one. Roomy, clean and orderly. Am drooling.
