Wow! Great design, but maybe costs a fortune? But lots of great ideas here.

Wow! Love it! The exterior design is fabulous and I love the salmon roof and the round windows. The big barrel door is a plus (for taller people carrying arm loads of groceries in.) The upstairs master bedroom is really big, roomy, airy and nice (especially for your significant other who is 6′ 2″ tall.) Love the pull out storage in the bathroom and the “air exchange system” that keeps the moisture down. Esk’et has created a very homey and welcoming space that invites comfortable occupancy. Love the whole build… awesome job, guys! 🙂
    Now for some questions:
    (1) What are the dimensions for this build? (2) Does it come in different sizes? (3) What is the price range for each size? (4) Do you entertain any modifications (such as leave off the smaller door and make a living room at that end)? (5) How long does it take to complete a build from the time an order is placed? Thanks! 🙂

I forgot to say that the carvings on the barrel door are FABULOUS! Love how it ties in with the salmon roof line.

Although not my style the design is interesting.
    Lots of great ideas.
However I couldn’t figure out what is beside the main entrance between sliding ladder and bathroom.

I wonder if it is a washing machine (like a combo wash and dry). They never do say, do they.

Next to the front door is a little coat rack/shoe storage. Look at the pics above and you can see some coats hanging there.

I paid attention and you were right! This IS my new favourite tiny home. They obviously put a lot of time into making it functional and spacious yet stylish. Well done. I would totally buy this.

Love the design lines of this and love that there is a comfortable couch and what looks like a decent size area for living room. I like the roof lines which seem to provide extra height in the areas you need it. I also like the “rail” storage in the loft and it looks like this could be a place to sit and get dressed. (You don’t always want to be on your knees.) A little small on the refrigerator, but love the cut down cabinets as it really provides the extra floor room. Bathroom is great with the extra slide out storage. Stairs/ladder is very space savings, and nice design. Really like this one!

The outside looks like something out of the Hobbit, some water sealer would do wonders for it, being wood it should have a coat every year anyway. Loft and genius do not belong in the same sentence, having been around for hundreds, perhaps thousands, of years there is nothing ‘genius’ about them. Too much white inside, needs some color, and paint those stools a different color. I think a regular ladder would be safter than that curved staircase.

OHN I would rather sprain my ankle on that beautiful spiral staircase than a ladder.

        October 17, 2016, 3:36 am

The ‘beautiful’ staircase isn’t so beautiful, and it has no handrail, you’re more likely to fall off it than to sprain an ankle. That ‘ladder’ isn’t much either. Personally, most of these designs aren’t so great. I’m searching for an appropriate vehicle to convert, it will get a raised roof, and the bed will lower, and rest on the small dinette, daytime it will be raised, no loft for me.

Yep, clearly the designer loves it. But the thing is, the designer designed it to his/her likes I would say, with no consideration of what anyone might like, or not like. You make these things to sell, you have to consider your potential customers, wants/needs. Which is exactly why I am designing my own, still working on it, and it will have exactly what ‘I’ want, and not what someone else ‘thinks’ I want.

So add a minimalist handrail to the wall side and a strip of dim LED lights to the front lip of each stair. Then Fred Astaire and I could do a little dance to show how it’s done.

        • Theo
          October 25, 2016, 12:19 am

I don’t know what you consider a minimalist handrail, but I consider one that will hold my full body weight as the least I would consider. And I’ll wait for Gypsy Rose Lee to dance for me.

Absolutely beautiful! Well done. It’s obvious that a lot of thought has been put into it, such as the stairs to each loft.

It’s light and airy – love the open space for the kitchen. I don’t think one could get claustrophobic.

If someone wants color on the walls and anything else different, one can order it to his/her specs I’m sure. For my personal taste, I like it just as it is.

Well There needs to be some changes to this one for me to live in. I would remove the front door. Have entrance into kitchen. In living area take out fireplace. Put in closet. I would put in mini split. For heat and air. Hand rail for stairs. Have counter straight ,no eating space. Put in refrig with top freezer under cabinet. Table under window in living area to eat at.

There’s so much to like about this design: the loft, the curved staircase, the flooring, the light inside, etc. However, the front door doesn’t fit the modern design, even though I do like the door. I would have liked to see a closet and more storage too.

Lovely design! A real breath of fresh air! I think that someone who hasn’t built one of these houses themselves can’t always understand that in this much space there is always a trade-off between how much storage you get and how much empty space you need. Personally I like it the way it is! Kudos on the air recovery system; definitely a requirement in our climate. I would like to know what your R values are. Also, love the personal carving touch!

The designer builder pointed out the need for an air exchanger in a tiny house, especially one that is located in an area of extreme temperatures. I would much rather have the addition 6 inches of storage in my base cabinets than an extra 6 inches of floor space. The artistic carvings are exceptional. I strongly dislike the “stairs and ladders”. I hope the new owner is agile & enjoys this gem.

Sweet place…it somehow doesn’t feel as claustrophobic as some do to me…and I really like the driftwood color flooring..the NW Coast Native carvings add a nice folksy touch…well done!
