That’s actually a pretty nice unit. Good design choices.

I can see why you’d put a ‘due diligence disclaimer’ on this one Alex – while the builder may very well have put insulation etc in – it very much lacks the aesthetic and attention to detail that goes to the very heart of the tiny house movement. In comparing this to the Fenacle that is currently for sale in L.A. for just 2 grand more – there really is no comparison. – In fact – when you look at the two side by side , this looks like a cheaply built ‘throw together’ using big box store cabinets and 8′ x 4′ 1/8th inch tile board that is available for only $25.95 per sheet, retail – The ‘shell’ itself looks like a Home Depot shed stuck on a trailer – with just rudimentary framing for the bathroom and loft – I may be wrong – but the flooring looks like the thin vinyl ‘wood look’ sticky edge flooring – and a laminate kitchen countertop – buyer beware indeed! This looks like someone is trying to make a quick buck by jumping on the tiny house band wagon – Shame!!!

Thank you Susie, glad I’m not the only one who sees the poor quality. I went to see this builder’s work in person. His work is worse than it looks on the photos. He has his house extremely overpriced. There are lots of gaps that don’t belong and the flooring and countertop are just peel and stick to “lighten the load”. Very disappointing build.

I totally agree! 35k is totally laughable! There is nowhere near enough windows either.

Where would you put additional windows? The front door is 1/2 window, there is a window beside the door, a larger window on both sides of the living area, window in the kitchen & the bathroom with octagonal windows in both lofts. The ceiling is lighter coloured natural wood finish with the interior walls painted white to reflect the light. Less windows or non gigantic windows mean less cutting into the insulated walls, keeping the interior warmer. The only place I could see the addition of a window would be to place another window (size of the smaller windows on the back wall of the kitchen. What is wrong with a laminate counter, that was the norm in houses until this craze of granite etc counters. I would however place either upper cabinets in the kitchen on the side wall with the window or at least open shelving on both the side & back walls to maximize storage. I don’t think you should make assumptions about the flooring/countertops/etc used in the interior without knowing for a fact what materials they used. You may be correct, but you could just as easily be wrong.

Hey, not interested move on. The best way to kill a healthy open market is to become it’s agressive critic. There is room for balanced analysis by qualified producers. Please.

Reeeeally nice! And the price isn’t too bad, either. I love the stained ceiling with the white paneled walls. Very classy, and the kitchen looks good, too. The bath is really pretty; I love the sink. I have decided if you have no other ammenities at all in your tiny house, you at least have to have a sink that drains. It makes all te difference. Lol!

Mike, Lynn and Marsha have my vote 😉 Labor included, very reasonable prices reflecting the difference of two market areas. Alex is wise to add the disclaimer in all cases of sale ads.

I live local to this. I dont think it looks bad (though I didnt see a heating unit and in Idaho it gets reeeally cold!) I dont love the price though. But the look of it is just cosmetic. Its a blank canvas. Swap some windows for some stained glass or use stained glass paint. Decorate the inside and outside with personal preference. Bathroom fixtures look good. Countertop looks good. The rest is all just waiting for someone to put their stamp on it. Wish I had $35k to even consider it…. but like most I dont. 🙂

wow, haters, what did you ever build, that’s right, because there’s nowhere to do it at you APARTMENT, and you don’t have any skills other then bashing from your keyboard, and I’m pretty sure you have no friends……

@Phil – I had to go back and look at the ad again to see if I had missed something, like the house was built by boy scouts or all the proceeds go to a 5 year old cancer patient.
No, its just someone who states he or she is a tiny house builder.
WTF are you so upset about? calm down already! Quit clowning around and getting so personal. Neither myself or anyone else made personal attacks against the builder, just commented on this house.

First I would like to thank everyone for there input, and yes I am a builder and I am also a RVIA member. I like to listen to everyone’s input about my homes in order to make them better each and every build. I apologize that each home cannot please everyone, but everyone has there own likes and dislikes in every tiny home they see. I also have to meet certain quality standards in order to pass my RVIA inspections, and everyone of my models built and sold come with a warranty. Thank you agian for all the positive feedback.
