Highlights

  • 24ft
  • Built for a woman in the Air Force
  • Built with many reclaimed materials
  • Large farm sink
  • Oak butcher block countertops
  • A concrete counter in the bathroom
  • LG 10 cu ft fridge
  • Washer/dryer combo
  • Mini split air conditioner
  • Built-in outdoor shower
  • Indoor ceiling fan
  • Aluminum ladder built-in to access the roof
  • Accommodation for her two dogs and cat
  • Kitty litter box strategically hidden from dogs under the vanity in the bathroom
  • All done for about $67,000

The dogs have a habit of harassing kitty and getting into trouble when she is not home, so we designed and fabricated an inverted loft with doggie den below. The doors can be kept shut with a barrel bolt, and later down the line if desired, easily removed. We measured eye level of the pups and installed a window for them to look out while mom was gone.

Love it! I love the way the space is used. Have to ask though, what are the plans for the barred area under the living area? Oh, just came to me — the dogs? Cool little kitty door into the bathroom and litter box. Good idea. I do not see much space for clothing — have I missed a closet somewhere. gretnidea with the built in sink cover too. Good luck to you as you transfer around with the military…..wherever you go it will look like home!!

Owner hasn’t moved in yet at the time the photos were taken, so there’s still stuff missing that could provide storage options, like a dresser, wardrobe, storage couch, etc.

Though, there’s a space opposite the vanity in the bathroom that can easily be used as a closet.

Description indicates there will be a combo washer/dryer but that will likely go into that space next to the fridge that’s built into the stairs… Though, there’s additional storage spaces in the stairs, including multiple drawers near the floor…

Along with other storage spaces throughout…

Wow, talk about visual clutter! In such a small space all those materials and surfaces make it look so crowded without even having furniture or items from the owner in it.

Better visual clutter that actual clutter though. Better to have what you need rather than conform to what others say/think you should have.

Soon as I saw the first shot, this person likes books and kitties. I love the non-sterile touches. Wide windowsills will be appreciated by the kitty as well. Great job.

I really like the design. Its not clutter, its design for one individual. That is what is cool about tiny/small houses. each one is designed for one individual and their tastes.

Either being in the military or going to college… this is a very smart thing to do. The size is perfect for frequent moving. The layout is great. I wish I had done this back when I was in the military. U.S. Army, Ret. Texas

This beats any dorm room or barracks room I had to stay in while I was in the military…this is like a 5 star hotel and just think NO INSPECTIONS!

I also thought the use of lots of different materials made it very busy to the eye but considering she hasn’t moved in yet that sort of gives it character already rather than being a sterile box. It might be a false assumption but being in the airforce, I assume she might not have a lot of personal possessions to fill this space up with!? I absolutely love the use of lots of recycled materials 🙂 This tiny house is a “10” in my opinion!
