Love the tiny house. Very comfortable. Great kitchen, the only thing I would add would be some ceiling fans and some better pictures of the bathroom.

Love the cantilevered lofts (if you have to have lofts). They definitely add much needed space. Not crazy about the window A/C units right on top of your head while trying to sleep. Very nice layout, though.

Wow, $80k. That is probably a fair price as this is pretty complex and looks well built, but ouch, not for the faint of heart. I LOVE the idea of a sink in the kids’ loft especially if you are up there changing diapers, however, I probably wouldn’t have a baby up there. It makes me wonder what you do in the kids loft that requires a sink. But with that thought in mind, a mini fridge (the like 24″ cubes) might be nice to have in the master loft for my hubby to get cold water in the middle of the night, but he generally just gets more water on his nightly treck(s) to the potty.

I LOVE the retractable stairs, I’d love to see how those work. They look so much more sturdy than the fold-down attic ladders.

This is probably the cutest Tiny House I’ve seen in a bit. I want the plan to this Tiny House.

As this home undoubtedly has a lot of high priced accessories which drives it’s cost way up into the $80,000.00 range.. But where the accessories truly worth being installed is the question which lingers in my mind, or could there have been a lesser expensive way of fulfilling their objectives… For one I believe there could have been, and two there were accessories which were placed in odd placement and could have been dealt with in a better manner… But it is a lovely expensive tiny house….!

Don’t care for the ladder in front of the stove. 80k. Does anyone know if a conventional 30yr mortgage is available for these houses on wheels? If so, then I assume you have to carry homeowner’s insurance. And is THAT available? What would the inspectors be looking for?

Bankrate dot com had an article on this about a year ago. Short answer: probably not. At best, these legally count as recreational vehicles and you would take out a 7-year mortgage at 6%. You might be able to get a conventional loan if you put the tiny house on a foundation and meet zoning rules.

Love the sink in the kid’s loft. I’ve never seen that before.
Terrific that they can brush their teeth, wash hands, etc without having to be concerned when bathroom is in use.

Without prying too far into the family business, why can’t Adam relocate the house along with himself and his family? I thought that was one of the advantages of THOW — take it with you. Otherwise, you may as well buy a foundation house. (Maybe there’s a divorce or another baby…?)

This was just on TV on Tiny House Nation last night 3/4/17 and was build for the family with active 2/3 yr old and a new one nearly there. So not sure why it is for sale, as they were parked in the in-laws drive way. It was built just for there needs

I just saw the segment as well. I also saw it when it was originally aired. I too was confused as it has only been six months…they absolutely loved this home and it was built from their specifications. I am worried and hope this family is okay !! They seemed like such a great family unit so maybe it was due to zoning issues, as they stated was part of their decision to sell….hope they are okay and I truly wish them the very best.

I think zoning is a HUGE issue 🙁 Always make sure you find a happy spot for your home before building, because otherwise I’m afraid this may happen…

Very n-i-c-e! Love the color theme on both inside and outside. Another TH I wouldn’t mind having.

I wonder how well it travels down the road–is it top heavy? Do tiny houses on wheels ever blow over in strong winds? (I ask because we are building one, and I’m beginning to get worried.) This house is very well designed for their needs–great use of space.

      Hi Alison,
One thing that I rarely see on the THOW are provisions for anchoring the unit for long term parking. There are many ways to do this. You could weld on D rings or other brackets on the trailer frame or cut holes in the frame where your strapping/cables, etc could attach, allowing the unit to be anchored & withstand high winds without toppling.
Ever seen tractor trailers blown over on the road when they get caught in a storm? Big boxes catch a lot wind so it’s wise not to tow in bad weather. Visit you-tube & there are many videos of all different truck/trailer combos flipping from high winds. Nothing to be paranoid about though, just aware.

Make sure you have brakes on all your trailer axles & the axle weight capacity exceeds total weight of your thow. You need to weigh your completed thow & make sure your tow vehicle is rated to tow the weight. Need high quality trailer tires with the correct load range. You can also investigate weight distributing hitches & sway control devices to make towing a little safer.

I’m sure there are weight limits, trailer limits, or maybe just the towing capacity of your vehicle. You need to know the weight of every componant. I would get good insurance coverage before I would take it on the road. What if it falls over and injures someone? But these aren’t designed for much road use. If I moved a lot I would get something like an Airstream.

Yeah I was wondering also like Oxide , besides zoning issues or another child why sell it? It’s still cheaper., and easier then buying a house/apt/condo., and cheaper than renting of course.

I wait for your newsletter, every week, if not every day. I always hope and look for TRUE (by my definition) “tiny” houses to be featured, like this one on this page the I had to search for on Google, because YOUR site does NOT have a Search feature.

Shame on you. It is not without effect.

Example? I actually did a search using YOUR domain (tinyhousetalk.com) and “200 sq.-ft.”

After clicking on and loading a bunch of resulting links, as it turned out, the FIRST page I looked at seemed to be in an unusual (for your site) format.

    Sure enough. NOT your domain.

Just saying. You might want to consider making a desirable improvement to your site.

Thanks Natalie, for trying to be helpful. But, trust me, if I could post a screen shot here, I would.

I see NO such search bar.
