Sorry, but it has lousy craftsmanship on the inside. Panels, which have not been aligned properly and water pipes on the floor. Who the hell lets water pipes lay on the floor? One hard knock and you have a water disaster.
This little house looks fine to me! As far as the water pipes are concerned, they are most likely installed that way to avoid freezing in winter , They are out of the way, however they could have been installed above the floor a bit and covered with a molding. What I was wondering is how to get to the loft . I never saw a ladder of stairs for that.
The price for what looks to be shabby workmanship is way out of line. It just doesn’t have the finish I would expect for that price. It looks very amature.
Actually, it’s just not yet fully finished… This is how interiors look before they apply the final trim, paint, details like backsplashes, etc. Not unusual for sellers to sell them not yet fully finished if it wasn’t the original plan to sell it and they’re just forced to sell it because the original deal fell through and now they have to recoup costs… The only real issues would be the exposed plumbing in the bathroom and the carpeted loft but those can be fixed…
As for price, for commercially built tiny house prices, for your standard road legal width models that was custom built, basically breaks down per linear foot of length to $2K for your basic builds on up to $3K for high end… but that’s before the high lumber prices builders are dealing with this year… So prices are bit higher than normal right now…
While a shell with nothing done on the interior yet would usually be around $20K for a 20’… To get a better idea where this stands…
Besides, it sounds like they are willing to negotiate and take a different offer… If it’s the builder selling it they may also offer options like finishing it or making changes before handing it off, negotiating the price of course…
No windows in the loft is not safe. Don’t like where the refrigerator is. Other it is nice.
