It’s very nice and seems to have everything one would need. I think it’s just a little sterile looking for my taste but I realize others will love it 🙂 One thing I love about it is that everything has a finished look, with no ‘rough’ edges. Many of the tiny homes seem to be a work in progress and I don’t know how folks can ever finish them once they are living in them… the space is just to confining.

The only thing that allows me to not feel too confined is to have a large tow vehicle which would allow an addition 150SqFt when you are traveling. This is what a Class C rated 30′ School Bus (w/wheelchair lift) allows us to do, if we had a tiny home and we traveled around a lot. The engine size we have is the same that is in much larger skoolie. Plus, it offers my wife (has health challenges) a “comfortable” ride that cars or PU’s can not provide. Sometimes, people do not plan on a total package which in reality, can provide for both a pleasent tiny home & travel experience. And, we have 150 Sq Ft in the tow vehicle which is like having another space that can be used when parked. Something to think about….

Nice touches….I agree with mame….it has too much white walls and too perfect….should have different shades representing different parts of the tiny house….also a little bit of rustic wood with rough cuts or small rusted metal objects here and there could add some flair…but overall I like the design.

From the outside, looking at ALL the windows, you’re left with the impression that it’s bright, sunny and cheery inside. However, once you view the interior, it seems claustrophobic and not really cheery, at all. Yes, I DO realize that the blinds are drawn in all the rooms yet the windows seem severely undersized and I don’t see any that really allow you to rest your eyes by looking outside. (it actually looks like they bought the cheapest windows they could find and just stuck them into the walls.) 🙁 I truly got a case of “goosey flesh” imagining myself sitting in that sterile lounge.

The black staircase is jarring to me; perhaps they could have painted it the same colour as the teal panels outside? I am a fan of modern but I’ll take a pass on this one; I’ve seen far more gracious and flowing interiors in THOW.

I stayed here recently. I too, thought it was too white when I saw it online but the dark floors, the dark staircase, and the kitchen counter break up the white better than I expected. The shed roof gives this house a very spacious feeling. The glass french doors across from the futon give you plenty of light and a very nice view outside to the deck. When visiting Nashville stay here and be inspired by this Tiny House.

Hi, Rich. Thanks for the personal experience of staying here and educating us that in Real Life, the colours are bang on. That’s nice to know and also that you had a grand time staying here. 😀

Very nice! I know from experience with my own tiny homes that pictures can be so deceiving, especially when you have to close the blinds to take them. There is way more space than meets the eye in this tiny house, and it is very organized and pretty. There is lots of white, but the floor is dark, and if you were actually standing inside, that darkness would balance the white a lot. It is a very nice design and nicely finished. Pretty decorating, too. Great job!

There IS a door on the bathroom area, right??? Some things should not be plein air!

      Happy Saturday, Lisa E. 😀

I got a good giggle from your earthy comment. LOL

If you look at the ceiling where the bathroom is located, you can see aluminum tracks that a door slides upon. That should provide you with some level of comfort. ~wink~

Love the whiteness too…and yet I Appreciate alot of the ‘woody’ places. I love the out side look and wonder if it comes a bit larger. I need small ‘fireplace/stove’ w/d and storage as I don’t run around naked!
      Price?

Fantastic build! My family and I are looking for a small space to build for hunting and fishing. Two teen boys and two adults, you need storage and organization in tiny living places. Thanks for sharing.

I think we all have our preferences when it comes to tiny house interiors. What I really love about this one is the outside! The lines, the use of blue steel roof panels & wood planks, creates a super fresh look…and the deck goes great with it. Very nice!

I love the all bright white, clean look of the inside of this tiny home! It looks bright and roomy.. especially with the tall ceiling. I love the floor plan and the stairs with the storage under each step. Putting the fridge under the stairs is a great space saving idea! I currently own a 2,000 sq ft home.. and have been looking at a lot of tiny home floor plans, with the idea of building one on a foundation (not on wheels), under 200 sq ft, in my mother’s backyard. !! Looking to down size and become budget-wise! I really love the Tiny House Newsletter.. I’m glad a subscribed! 🙂

I would love to visit this home. I live not far from this tiny home. Jennifer Adam if you read this I would love to take a tour. I’m in the process of researching what it takes to build and live in one. I would love to chat with you guys if the opportunity ever comes up. So happy to see a tiny home close to where I live..

Yes we all have our preferences! That is the fun here discussing them… It also gives all of us new ideas that we possibly were not aware of…:)
I love the outside of this house…adorable!
    1)anything else on this property?
2)how were the codes dealt with?

I like this THOW both inside and out, except for the size. The stairs are great and are done with box construction the same as in hOme, which was submitted in the Sunset contest. I like the Shed roof as it does give more head room in your loft area. I have to admit that I love the gable roof styles, but prefer head room to outside appearance. Also I would want my THOW to be a little bigger, with w/d, more closet space and because my passion if cooking I want more kitchen. However, I like the clean lines and a folding door or curtain could be put on the bathroom — which I agree should be closed off — even if you live in it alone, you still have company on occassion I would think and most like some privacy.

I love this house! Maybe a bit too much white for me but it’s still amazing.

Does anyone know what the length of the trailer is? I have been searching and I can’t find the dimensions of this one.

The outside is absolutely beautiful, LOVE the teal color, you just dont see that on a house that often. The inside works great for what it is, a hotel/motel room.

I think this home is very well finished and designed. It is very white, and not cosy enough for me. I realise, of course, not everyone has the same taste as me. I paticularly like the upstairs windows, from the outside and the blue colour, I think it’s a great achievement.

This home is nice,,, ONE problem with almost ALL Tiny homes,, the bathrooms are next to the kitchen,, SMELL. I cannot think of a worse placing then next to each other, no matter if it saves on pipes and installing, can’t we place bathrooms where they don’t adjoin the Kitchen? Jan

I can’t really support Airbnb. On one hand, it’s great people can try a tiny house for a weekend, but Airbnb is not a service for testing tiny housing, it is a for-profit situation that is wrecking havoc with all kinds of housing in cities everywhere, making apartments unavailable to people who need places to live, not just spend a weekend. Tiny Houses to LIVE in, not as yet another profit machine.

What’s wrong with people profiting from their labor? Airbnb seems like a win-win – people get to see and try tiny houses. What can be wrong with that?

    • JJ
      June 15, 2015, 4:47 pm

Nothing is wrong with people profiting off THEIR labor, but AirBnB mostly profits off a situation & something someone else built. Where I live the wealthy are snapping up property to basically use as unregulated hotels that, in addition, take permanent housing off the market. It drives up housing rents. Something that started for a way for someone to rent out their spare room for a couple of days, or the apartment while they’re away on vacation, is quickly becoming a racket.

At last! Something to hold on to while going up & down the staircase of this beautiful home. It is far too easy to slip (& happens too quickly to do anything abt it). Even young & agile people can fall. I crashed on to the back of my head after slipping on a slimy wooden deck a few mths ago, fell just a short way & had to rest (& not drive) for six weeks all that time. A fall from a height could cause far worse damage (& boy, did it hurt!). Railing such as this one would be easily and cheaply built & shld be considered by other tiny home builders.

    Nice but not enough windows.

  • Lynnette
    June 15, 2015, 5:10 pm

Ok. First kitchen does not have near enough storage. Layout is sporadic. Too many open walls. Not enough storage everywhere. Stairs are cool. Bath is ok. Now if this is a vacation rental, ok. But for a house it’s not very conducive for a full time living quarters.

Always wondered why “modern” equals an over abundance of white? I see many tiny homes here where if the walls aren’t beautiful wood they are just plain white. With the exception of the Penny one with the gorgeous green walls. Is this common? Or just generic until bought?

Amy asked, “Always wondered why “modern” equals an over abundance of white?”

It’s well known in the field of Interior Design, that the colour ‘white’ is both Expansive and Reflective, in regards to making even the darkest of rooms appear larger. Of course, this is a personal choice: I’ve seen some wee powder rooms where my client has painted them Chocolate Brown or Hunter’s Green to showcase art collections they have on the wall. The powder rooms are stunning to look at but Boy O’ Boy, are they DARK to be inside of, even when well illuminated.

With homes this small, colour is usually incorporated via accessories.

This is one of the best designs i have seen. BTW who is the manufacturer. I like it due to the single pitch roof, roomy counter, stairs to loft sleeping area, interior color and the use of space under the stairs.

Love this TH; I could easily live in it. The only addition I would make is to install doors on the storage stairs for a cleaner, uncluttered look.

My first thought was “sterile and uninviting”, although I admit I’m not a fan of ultra-modern. I don’t like clutter, so from this standpoint, the house is good. I think it would be beautiful to someone who loves this style.
