Glad to be showing you this 180 sq. ft. tiny home on wheels that just sold on eBay for $15,000 in the Washington area.
It’s a two bedroom, one bathroom, full kitchen, and full bathroom tiny house with tub/shower, composting toilet, double hung closet, and even a washer/dryer combo.
It’s 13’8″ tall, 8′ wide, and weighs about 8,000 lbs. The trailer was refurbished from a 1986 travel trailer. What do you think? Pretty good deal, right?

Its an absolute steal, but WHY was she selling it?
How is an old camper trailer frame strong enough to support this? I’ve been thinking about rebuilding a vintage camper into a regular tiny house, but I’ve seriously questioned if the frame could handle all the added weight. Camper trailer frames don’t even have much in the way of crossmembers, the look flimsy compared to a flat trailer.
the frame generally isn’t the issue. its the axles. some axles are marked, some aren’t. if the axles aren’t suitable, it can still be towed if done cautiously. before moving empty all your goods from inside and while towing reduce speed dramatically and slow way down over bumps and potholes.
The axle have done just fine we built it near Phoenix AZ and towed it 1550 mi to Anderson Island WA near seattle WA

Looks great but will have to be careful with overpasses and bridges.
I take it the laundry area and potty are under the loft behind the door?
It looks like it has two 3500 lb. axles. It so, then the frame is probably built to hold this much weight. It isn’t bending down on the corners or bowing front to back, but it is still a valid question. Was the frame assessed for the weight it is carrying? If so, great! Because I think it is one of the cleverest designs I have seen yet, and I love the back door.
So if one is interested in buying it, I would say get an engeneer friend (like I did once) to take a look at the frame and tell you if it is sufficient. Also, a welder could tell you what gauge and strength you are looking at underneath. It is hard to tell from the angle of the picture, but hopefully the weight/length is divided is 60/40 respectively over the wheels for balance and to help with the tongue weight. Just some suggetions.
The axels are 5k each and have 1550 mi on them since the home was built. The tires have 1550 miles on them also. We towed it with a 1996 chevy 1 ton van with no problem.
Amazing
I love this, it is simple and very well done. However, is 13′ 8″ over the legal height limit? Will it go under some of our lower freeway overpasses?
